Evan Jacobs (born 1968 in Michigan) is an American visual effects supervisor and director. Jacobs has overseen visual effects and served as miniatures supervisor on the feature films such as Ed Wood, The Hunt for Red October, What the #$*! Do We Know?!, and Resident Evil: Extinction.
Jacobs was born in Michigan and moved to California in the early 1970s with his family. His father, Dan Jacobs, is a noted jazz musician. He made short films with a camera he received as a gift, and later studied acting and directing at South Coast Repertory and Milton Katselas' Beverly Hills Playhouse.
Jacobs worked with Boss Film Studios, Fantasy II Film Effects, then co-founded Vision Crew Unlimited in 1994. After the company closed, he worked independently, spent two years at Digital Domain, then went to Mr X Inc. in Toronto in 2005. In 2007 Jacobs supervised visual effects for Resident Evil: Extinction and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Jacobs was recognized for his work on Ben 10: Race Against Time and Ben 10: Alien Swarm both of which were nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects by the Visual Effects Society.
In 2010, Jacobs was nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects for his work on Ben 10: Alien Swarm. Previously, in 1998, Jacobs was also nominated for HBO's From the Earth to the Moon.
Jacobs is an active member of the Producers Guild of America and the Visual Effects Society. He was an instructor for the Entertainment Studies Extension Program at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) for three years.
Jacobs is also a fine art still photographer. His photography has been featured in galleries and major publications as well as the book “Vesage” from Ballistic Publishing. In 2008, he took part in the Visual Amalgam Art Show at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, California.
Evan Jacobs married Script Supervisor and Assistant Director, Clara Gheorghiu on March 22, 2008 in Napa Valley, California. They have two children together.

Conan is the son of Corin, chief of a barbarian tribe. The youth is a skilled but violent warrior, who his father believes is not ready to wield his own sword. Alice (Milla Jovovich) wakes up disoriented in a mansion. She wanders through the halls, where she defeats several obstacles, including a laser beam obstacle (from the first film) and a giant blade that falls from the ceiling. However, she is eventually killed by a miniature machine gun. Her body is dumped into a pit filled with hundreds of Alice clones. The camera zooms out to show a shack camouflaging the facility's above-ground entrance - with the rest of the facility located underground, surrounded by a high fence and thousands of zombies.

Jack Mosley (Bruce Willis) is an alcoholic, burned-out N.Y.P.D. detective. Despite a late shift the night before, his lieutenant orders him to escort a witness, Eddie Bunker (Mos Def), from local custody to the courthouse 16 blocks away to testify on a police corruption case before a grand jury at 10 a.m. Bunker tries to be friendly with Mosley, telling him of his aspirations to move to Seattle to become a cake baker with his sister whom he has never met, but Mosley is uninterested, and stops at a liquor store. They are suddenly ambushed by a gunman, and Mosley drags Bunker to a local bar to take shelter and call for backup. Mosley's former partner, Frank Nugent (David Morse), and several other officers arrive. Nugent and his men have ulterior motives, telling Mosley that Bunker is not worth defending as his testimony will likely out several officers, including Nugent, who are involved in the corruption scheme, and they try to frame Bunker for firing at an officer before they kill him. Mosley intervenes, rescuing Bunker and fleeing.

During the SETI program, Earth's scientists send out transmissions (shown to be the Arecibo message) with information about Earth and its inhabitants, DNA structure, etc., in hopes of finding life beyond Earth. They then receive transmissions from an alien source on how to create endless fuel effortlessly. Therefore, the scientists assume that this is a friendly alien species. From a second alien transmission, the scientists receive information about an alien DNA along with instructions on how to splice it with human DNA. A government team led by Xavier Fitch (Ben Kingsley) goes forward with the genetic experiment attempting to induce a female, because a female would have "more docile and controllable" traits. One of the hundred experimental ova produces a girl named Sil, who looks like a normal human but develops into a 12-year-old in 3 months.
