Hermann Haller, né le 15 décembre 1909 à Zurich, mort le 21 juin 1985 à Boswil, est un monteur, réalisateur et scénariste suisse.
Il arrive à Berlin et entre dans Tobis-Tonbild-Syndikat . À 20 ans, il est assistant monteur à côté d'Arnold Fanck sur L'Enfer blanc du Piz Palü. En 1936, il refuse de participer à la propagande nazie et s'en va en Autriche où il travaille principalement avec Géza von Bolváry.
Après l'Anschluss, Haller revient en Suisse et participe grandement au mouvement de défense spirituelle. Outre le montage, il est aussi réalisateur ou assistant et directeur artistique.
Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il revient peu à peu dans le cinéma allemand. Dans les années 1960, il participe dans les adaptations des œuvres de Karl May et d'Edgar Wallace . À la fin de sa carrière, il travaille sur des Lederhosenfilms.

Biography
À 14 ans, il publie des critiques de films puis s'inscrit à la Staatliche Fachakademie für Fotodesign München. Il travaille ensuite pour la société de production Emelka.Il arrive à Berlin et entre dans Tobis-Tonbild-Syndikat . À 20 ans, il est assistant monteur à côté d'Arnold Fanck sur L'Enfer blanc du Piz Palü. En 1936, il refuse de participer à la propagande nazie et s'en va en Autriche où il travaille principalement avec Géza von Bolváry.

L'Allemagne en 1948 au moment du carnaval : Le jour du Weiberfastnacht, le tailleur Anton Wibbel tente d'échanger un gramophone contre des cigarettes avec des occupants britanniques. Le policier militaire écossais Bosty McMillar lui offre deux bouteilles de whisky et le ramène chez lui. Anton oublie les deux bouteilles dans la voiture et trouve rapidement la manivelle pour le gramophone dans la poche de sa veste. Le soir, Bosty en kilt apporte les bouteilles. La femme d’Anton, Fin, à son tour, vient de se déguiser en sorcière pour se plonger dans l’animation de carnaval avec ses amis, même si Anton, jaloux, n’est pas très enthousiaste à ce sujet. Il s'enivre avec Bosty et vont bientôt échanger ses vêtements : Bosty part en tant que marin et Anton en tant qu'écossais au carnaval. Lorsque la police militaire apparaît soudainement dans le rassemblement du carnaval, Anton est arrêté pour port injustifié d'un uniforme.

Le 1er août 1914, des clients de salon de coiffure Wiederkehr discutent de la mobilisation générale décrétée en Allemagne, Belgique et Russie. L’armée suisse étant également mobilisée, l’aide-coiffeur Reinhold Wipf doit quitter la vie civile pour aller occuper son poste dans les troupes gardes-frontières. Trimbalé entre les Alpes valaisannes, le Tessin et les forêts du Jura, le jeune soldat maladroit, timide et quelque peu efféminé devient un homme qui gagne progressivement le respect de ses camarades et de ses supérieurs hiérarchiques. Cet engagement militaire le sépare aussi de Rosa Wiederkehr, la fille assez prétentieuse de son maître d’apprentissage, mais il connaît le grand amour avec Vreneli, toute simple et naturelle.

The middle-aged Marquis de Sade arrives at his ancestral estate of La Coste, having escaped incarceration. In the theater at the castle, he meets his uncle, the Abbe, who persuades him to stay to watch an entertainment that has been prepared for him. Heinz Gruber, appelé Heintje, est un orphelin et vit avec sa tante Monika Klausen. Le garçon n'aime pas le fiancé de Monika, Günter Schelle, et veut le chasser de la maison. Heintje fait la connaissance du propriétaire du centre équestre Alfred Teichmann qui, d'abord méprisant, s'émeut quand il entend chanter l'enfant qu'il invite dans son groupe. Teichmann conseille à Heintje d'être chanteur alors que le garçon veut être jockey. Quand Heintje perd sa clé, il y a un différend entre Schelle et Teichmann. Peu après Schelle persuade Monika de placer Heintje dans une maison d'accueil. Dans cette maison, il y a Hanna Schwarz, qui fut amoureuse d'Alfred Teichmann. Quand elle met Heintje face à ce qu'on lui reproche, il essaie de ne pas montrer sa tristesse. Dans les box, il chante Mamatschi, schenk mir ein Pferdchen. Quand il demande à Alfred Teichmann, s'il ne peut pas rester ici, Alfred répond non, à regret. Teichmann doit partir en vacances avec sa petite amie, Gerdi Weber.

Jerry Cotton goes undercover to take out a criminal organisation including its bosses. Disguised as a British specialist for alarm systems he joins the gang which has a preference for diamonds. The plot chronology is set in the 18th century and the probable story location is Germany. Baroness Lilian von Brabant and her lawyer Roger Mont Elise receive an invitation to the Blood Castle, in Sander Valley, where a large inheritance is awaiting the baroness. Both decide to go; the Baroness because of the inheritance and Roger seeing a chance to get more information regarding his birth. Upon arriving at the valley, they meet the monk Fabian with a proclivity for profanities who offers to assist them in finding their way to the castle, the place where, forty years ago, Count Regula had murdered twelve maidens, in an attempt to use their blood to achieve immortality. However he was one maiden short of his goal, and he was drawn, quartered and beheaded for his crime. As he was dying, the Count threatened revenge against those responsible for his death.

Siegfried von Xanten defeats the dragon Fafnir, and becomes invulnerable by bathing in the beast's blood. He then wins a net of invisibility (Tarnkappe) and the legendary Treasure of the Nibelungs (Nibelungenschatz) from the dwarf Alberich. Siegfried falls in love with Kriemhild, sister of King Gunther of Burgund. However, Gunther will not allow Siegfried to marry her until he has helped Gunther to win a wife himself. They travel to Iceland where Siegfried helps Gunther to defeat and win Queen Brunhild. They return to the Burgundian court at Worms and both weddings take place. However, jealousy and envy cause frictions at the court. Intrigues eventually result in Hagen of Tronje killing Siegfried during a hunt. In part 2, Kriemhild marries Etzel, king of the huns, in order to gain revenge for the murder of her husband. The Burgundians, led by Gunther and Hagen, follow an invitation after Kriemhild gives birth to Ortileb, and travel to Etzel's hall, where they are attacked by the huns. Hagen kills Ortileb in the fight. There is a great slaughter and Gunther is killed. Finally Kriemhild kills Hagen and is then killed herself.
