Hideo Nakata (中田 秀夫 Nakata Hideo; born July 19, 1961) is a Japanese filmmaker.
Biography
Il obtient un diplôme à l'université de Tokyo, mais après avoir fait plusieurs petits travaux sur des plateaux de tournage il se destine au cinéma. Il intègre alors le séminaire de cinéma de Shigehiko Hasumi. Il est ensuite engagé par la Nikkatsu pour laquelle il travaillera sur des pinku eiga (films érotiques à petit budget) en tant qu'assistant réalisateur auprès de Konoma Masaru. C'est durant cette période qu'il apprendra réellement le métier. Après plusieurs années il accède au poste de réalisateur en travaillant sur des projets pour la télévision et pour le marché des direct to video. En 1996, il réalise Le Spectre de l'actrice, son premier long métrage destiné au grand écran. Il est suivi de Ring qui va le révéler à un niveau international.Best films

William Collins (Aaron Johnson) is a depressed teen recovering from self-harm and regularly goes online to chat rooms. One day, he decides to open a chat room himself and calls it "Chelsea Teens!" and where he meets Jim (Matthew Beard), another kid; Eva (Imogen Poots), a model; Emily (Hannah Murray), a goody two-shoes; and Mo (Daniel Kaluuya), a normal kid. There is no real subject matter in "Chelsea Teens!" which instead focuses on the lives of each teen as they talk. In the coastal town of Astoria, Oregon approximately six months after the events of the first movie, a teenage boy named Jake asks a classmate named Emily over to his house, under the guise of studying together; however, his motives are actually centered on having her watch Samara Morgan's cursed video tape, as his seven-day deadline is fast approaching. Emily plays the tape while Jake waits in the kitchen, but when he returns to the living room, it is revealed that she covered her eyes throughout the tape, and thus didn't see any of it. As she failed to perpetuate the guidelines of the tape's curse, Samara crawls out of the television and kills Jake in front of Emily.

On March 13, 1954, a passenger plane crashes in Japan, killing all but one passenger: a woman who is nine months pregnant. Ultimately she dies in a hospital, but her unborn daughter is saved. However, for a reason inexplicable by the science of the day, the daughter (named Yumi) does not wake up and is essentially in a comatose state. Her wealthy father has her placed in a hospital where she will be cared for indefinitely (and also offers a reward to anyone who can wake her) while he vanishes in search of a cure to her condition.

While inspecting the corpse of Sadako Yamamura, the forensic experts note evidence that Sadako has died only a year or two ago, meaning that she was still alive in the sealed well for almost thirty years. They later reconstruct her body and send it to Takaishi Yamamura (Yoichi Numata), Sadako's uncle, who takes it on his boat and later casts it into the bottom of the ocean.
