Kasey Rogers (born Josie Imogene Rogers; December 15, 1925 – July 6, 2006) was an American actress, memoirist and writer, best known for playing the second Louise Tate in the popular U.S. television sitcom Bewitched.

Biography

Elle est connue pour avoir interprété le rôle de Louise Tate dans Ma sorcière bien-aimée et Julie Harrington dans Peyton Place.

Au cinéma, elle a trouvé le rôle de sa vie dans L'Inconnu du Nord-Express (Strangers on a train, 1951) d'Alfred Hitchcock où elle se fait étrangler par Robert Walker dans une scène d'anthologie.

Elle meurt en 2006 d'un arrêt cardio-circulatoire à la suite d'un cancer de la gorge.

Captain Steve Bannerman (Lloyd Bridges) has been asked to fly one last passenger flight from Hawaii to Australia for Trans-Pacific Airline. During a violent electrical storm, he crashes the jet airliner on an uninhabited South Pacific island. Bannerman takes charge of the survivors and teams with Merle Barnaby (Billy Dee Williams), a black marine returning from combat duty in Vietnam, to try to find a way to survive on the island. In the late 1870s, chief engineer Gil Harkness (J. Carrol Naish) and construction foreman Jim Vesser (Edmond O'Brien) are surveying a new route for the D&RG through the Royal Gorge in Colorado. Vesser learns that a crew from the competing Cañon City & San Juan Railroad is also in the gorge and confronts former friend Bob Nelson and his unscrupulous boss, McCabe (Sterling Hayden). McCabe shoots Nelson in the back during a fight but he and crony Johnny Buff (Lyle Bettger) blame Vesser, who thinks he accidentally shot Nelson. Linda Prescott (Kasey Rogers), the secretary of D&RG president General William J. Palmer (Dean Jagger), believes that Vesser to be a cowardly killer. An injunction stops work by the D&RG in the gorge and Vesser suggests they run the CC&SJ men "out on a pole." Linda, who is actually Nelson's sister and is spying for McCabe after being told by him that Vesser murdered her brother, angrily accuses him of acting above the law.

The year is 1830. The American clipper ship, the Queen, is attacked by pirates in the New Hebrides (present day Vanuatu). Amateur tennis star Guy Haines (Farley Granger) wants to divorce his vulgar and promiscuous wife Miriam (Laura Elliott), so he can marry the elegant Anne Morton (Ruth Roman), the daughter of a senator, and hopefully have a career in politics. They have no identifiable motive for the crimes, and therefore they will not be suspects. Guy hurriedly leaves, but Bruno feels he has agreed. Bruno pockets Guy's monogrammed cigarette lighter.
