Biography
En 1980, Martha De Laurentiis est cofondatrice de la société de production Dino De Laurentiis Company (DDLC) avec son partenaire puis mari, Dino De Laurentiis. Elle a produit, co-produit et été producteur exécutif de plus de quarante films et mini-séries. Maintenant connue sous le nom De Laurentiis Company, l'entreprise a supervisé la construction et la gestion de trois grands studios de cinéma internationaux, les Screen Gem Studios à Wilmington, la Warner Bros. / Village Roadshow Studios sur la Gold Coast en Australie et les studios CLA-De Laurentiis à Ouarzazate, au Maroc.Martha Schumacher s'est mariée le 7 avril 1990 avec son partenaire Dino De Laurentiis avec qui elle a eu deux filles, Carolyna et Dina. Suite à un accident d'avion, un homme nommé Overgård est bloqué dans l’Arctique. Il vit dans la carcasse de son avion et parvient à se nourrir en pêchant du poisson. Alors qu'il se croit sauvé par l'arrivée d'un hélicoptère, celui-ci s'écrase. Le pilote est tué mais sa passagère a survécu. Overgård soigne la jeune femme ; cependant comme son état ne s'améliore pas, il décide de partir avec elle en la tirant dans un traîneau vers une station saisonnière située au Nord. Le parcours est semé d'embûches : il faut escalader des montagnes, éviter les ours polaires et braver le froid et les tempêtes.

In 1941, an eight-year-old Hannibal Lecter lives in Lecter Castle in Lithuania. Hitler's invasion of the Soviet Union turns the Baltic region into part of the bloodiest front line of World War II. Lecter, his younger sister Mischa, and their parents travel to the family's hunting lodge in the woods to elude the advancing German troops. After three years, the Nazis are finally driven out of the countries soon to be occupied by the Soviet Union. During their retreat, however, they destroy a Soviet tank that had stopped at the Lecter family's lodge looking for water. The explosion kills everyone but Lecter and Mischa. They survive in the cottage until six former Lithuanian militiamen, led by a Nazi collaborator named Vladis Grutas, storm and loot it. Finding no other food in the bitterly cold Baltic winter, the men look menacingly at Lecter and Mischa.

While driving cross-country from Boston to San Diego in their new Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeff Taylor and his wife Amy narrowly miss colliding with a beat-up Ford F-150 that darts in front of them from a connecting road on a deserted highway. Later, while stopped at a gas station, the truck's driver, Earl, exchanges hostile words with Jeff before the couple resume their journey. Shortly afterwards, their Jeep breaks down in the middle of the desert. Leaving Jeff with the car, Amy accepts a ride from a passing big rig trucker named Red Barr driving a Peterbilt 385, to get to a nearby diner and call for help. Jeff eventually discovers that the Jeep's battery connections have been suspiciously tampered with, and, after reconnecting them, drives to the diner, only to discover that no one has seen his wife. When he catches up to Barr on the road and forces him to stop, the trucker claims he has never seen Jeff or his wife before. Jeff hails a passing sheriff, named Boyd, but a brief search of Barr's truck yields no sign of Amy, and he is let go.

Terry (Steve Guttenberg) is having an affair with his boss' wife Sylvia (Isabelle Huppert). One night after an office party, they are together and Sylvia witnesses an attack on Denise (Elizabeth McGovern) from Terry's bedroom window. She doesn't want to expose their relationship and so is reluctant to talk to the police. Terry, wanting to help, gives the police the description of the attacker. King Kong, after being shot down from the World Trade Center, is kept alive in a coma for about 10 years at the Atlanta Institute, under the care of surgeon Dr. Amy Franklin (Linda Hamilton). In order to save Kong's life, Dr. Franklin must perform a heart transplant and give Kong a computer-monitored artificial heart. However, he lost so much blood that a transfusion is badly needed, and to complicate matters, Franklin says there no species of ape or other animal whose blood type matches Kong's. Enter adventurer Hank "Mitch" Mitchell (Brian Kerwin), who captures a giant female gorilla, who is dubbed "Lady Kong"; in Borneo (Mitchell theorizes that Borneo and the island from the first movie were once part of the same landmass), bringing her to the Institute so her blood can be used for Kong's operation. The transfusion and the heart transplant are a success, but Kong escapes along with the female.
