Nathan Hope is an American cinematographer and director of film and television.
As a cinematographer, his film credits include Hellraiser: Inferno (2000), Mimic 2 (2001), Suckers (2001), Rolling Kansas (2003, Thomas Haden Church's directorial debut), Who's Your Daddy? (2004, Andy Fickman's directorial debut) and The Fog (2005).
In television, he has photographed episodes of Fastlane, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Dark Blue and Miami Medical (also a director for the latter three series).
As a director, his first directing credit was the short film Lucky (2005), also the editor and screenwiter. In 2009, he made his feature film directing debut with the film Elsewhere starring Anna Kendrick and Paul Wesley. He was also the sole screenwriter for the film. His other television directing credits include Cold Case, The Whole Truth, Nikita, Body of Proof, Ringer and CSI: NY.
Hope has won two American Society of Cinematographers Awards for his cinematography work on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in both 2004 and 2005.

After three men are discovered hideously mutilated (their faces have been removed) and strung up among New York City's high-tension wires, Detective Klaski (Bruno Campos) stumbles upon a link: Each of the men knew entomologist Remy (Alix Koromzay), a teacher at an inner-city high school. Klaski considers Remy to be a prime, albeit unlikely, suspect in the killings until he witnesses for himself the shape-shifting creature that has been stalking Remy: an intelligent mutant insect with the face of its previous victim. Danyael Rosales is a street preacher who thinks God does not care about anyone because of the death of his parents, Valerie Rosales and the angel Danyael from the previous film. He is then forced to face his destiny. As a Nephilim, he has some of the angels' abilities, such as regeneration, and can only be killed if his heart is removed. One night, a blind assassin shoots Danyael as he preaches before a crowd, but the assassin is driven off before he can take out Danyael's heart. As punishment for his failure, Zophael kills the assassin and goes after Danyael himself with an extendable weapon with a blade that can be turned into a three-pronged hook. However, Danyael is protected by Gabriel, a now-human fallen angel who killed Danyael's father and performed many misdeeds. After being defeated by Danyael's mother, Gabriel was turned into a human as punishment. Having spent years as a human, he now realizes how wrong he was in the past.

Joseph Thorne is an intelligent yet corrupt Denver police detective who regularly indulges in drug use and infidelity during the course of duty. At the scene of what appears to be a ritual murder, Thorne discovers a strange puzzle box, which he takes home in order to indulge his fascination with puzzles. After solving the box, Thorne begins to experience bizarre hallucinations, such as being seduced by a pair of mutilated women and being chased by a creature with no eyes or legs. Thorne also makes a connection between the murder and a killer known as "The Engineer," who is suspected of having kidnapped a child. Thorne goes in search of the Engineer, who in turn begins murdering Thorne's friends and associates, leaving behind one of the child's fingers at every crime scene.
