Parvathamma Rajkumar (born 6 December, 1939) is an influential and leading Kannada film producer, distributor, and exhibitor from almost four decades. She is one of the most successful female film-entrepreneur from Karnataka, who built the empire initially on popularity of her husband Late. Dr. Rajkumar, an icon of Kannada cinema, and later on her own calibre[managerial skills] produced blockbluster films with Rajkumar and introduced her sons[heroes] - Shiv Rajkumar; Puneeth Rajkumar; and Raghavendra Rajkumar -, and many heroines - Malashri; Prema; Rakshita; Sudha Rani; and others -, into Kannada film industry.
She is honoured with numerous awards, notably, Phalke Academy award, Kannada Rajyotsava, Lifetime Achievement Award - from Government of Karnataka -, and many more. She produced 80 films as of 2012 attracting to be a guest and[or] participator in - Kannada film inaugurations and celebrations; cultural acitivities; resolving disputes among film personalities; and political protests to protect the rights of Kannadigas associated with Kannada language, legitimate Karnataka's share in interstate water disputes, protection of Kannada film industry from piracy, and protection of Kannada cinema from non-Kannada film domination.
