Ross McCall (born 13 January 1976) is a Scottish actor most notable for his role as T-5 Joseph Liebgott in the 2001 HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.

Biography

Son premier rôle notable est celui aux côtés de Freddie Mercury en 1989 dans une vidéo promotionnelle de Queen pour la chanson The Miracle. En 1993, McCall a joué dans la série télévisée pour enfants The Return of the Borrowers sur BBC.

Il a joué Kenny Battaglia dans la série télévisée Crash, sur le réseau Starz. Il reprend son rôle de Dave en 2009 dans la suite. Cette série a été annulée après deux saisons à la suite du décès de l'un des acteurs principaux, Dennis Hopper.

En 2008, il joue dans le film d'horreur Autopsy.

Le 23 février 2010, il apparaît en guest star dans FBI : Duo très spécial dans l'épisode La Bouteille de Franklin, dans le rôle de Matthew Keller, un ancien rival de Neal Caffrey. Il reprend son rôle dans l'épisode 14 de la saison 2, et dans les épisodes 9, 10 et 11 de la saison 3.

Le 1er juin 2010, il apparaît dans la série Luther.

Il commence la production du long métrage The Guest Room, dont le tournage s'est déroulé dans les studios Sunset Gower à Los Angeles en juillet 2010.

En 2011, il joue le rôle du détective Seth Carver dans l'épisode 4 de la saison 4 de Castle.

L'inspecteur Karyn Mitchell intervient dans une maison d'un tueur en série. Elle est obligée de l'abattre en état de légitime défense. Comme elle est intervenue toute seule et sans renforts, sa hiérarchie exige d'elle qu'elle suive une thérapie avec le psychologue de la police, car elle a tué trois tueurs en série. Pendant ce temps, un autre tueur en série fait son retour : dans les années 90, les journalistes l'avait surnommé Hadès à cause de la marque qu'il laisse sur les cadavres. Le tueur appelle Karyn pour pouvoir la narguer, ainsi que la police de Boston. L'enquête va devenir une affaire personnelle pour Karyn, car son père était un tueur en série qui a été soupçonné d'être Hadès. Le tueur brouille les pistes en tuant un employé d'une boutique de luxe de Hifi et en déguisant le meurtre en suicide. Il ira jusqu'à tuer le coéquipier et ex-compagnon de Karyn, ainsi qu’un journaliste, en faisant accuser Karyn. En fouillant la maison, Karyn découvre l’identité du tueur et son mobile : il s'agit d'une vengeance contre elle, car les parents du tueur ont été assassinés par le père de Karyn ; or elle était au courant de ce qu'il était réellement mais avait hésité à le dénoncer et il avait commis ces deux meurtres supplémentaires. Le tueur va aussi essayer de la tuer en faisant passer cela pour un suicide.

Dave Bjorno, along with other members of the GSE, are arrested for participating in the fight at the end of the first film, and end up being sent to a tough prison. In prison, the GSE quickly discover the brutality of life on the inside, as they are constant targets of the superior numbered and better-financed Millwall crew. After a quick brawl the GSE get blamed for the assault and are transported to another prison where a huge number of Bushwackers are waiting for them. Soon after arrival the crew meet up with Marc and his crew, who declare their intentions to make the GSE's time in the prison tough. After throwing an insult about their deceased leader, Pete, they fight, are restrained and are, once again, blamed for the incident.

Matt Buckner (Elijah Wood), a journalism major, is expelled from Harvard University after cocaine is discovered in his room. However, the cocaine belongs to Jeremy Van Holden (Terence Jay), his roommate. Buckner is afraid to speak up because the Van Holdens are a powerful family, and Jeremy offers him $10,000 for taking the fall. Matt doesn't initially accept the money, but reconsiders and uses the money to visit his sister Shannon (Claire Forlani), her husband Steve Dunham (Marc Warren) and their young son, Ben (James Allison) living in London. There, Matt meets Steve's brother, Pete (Charlie Hunnam), an acerbic and imposing Cockney who leads the local football hooligan firm - a group of football supporters that arranges fights after matches - and teaches at a local school. Steve asks Pete to take Matt to a football match between West Ham United and Birmingham City, though Pete is reluctant to take a "Yank" to a football match, because of the xenophobic attitude of his friends. He is persuaded because Steve will only give the money Pete needs to Matt. After defeating Matt in a fight, Pete decides to take Matt to the football match, thinking he might learn something about football.

The film follows the story of an anguished English-born Pittsburgh high school teacher (Irons) in 1974 going through a reassessment of his life. His method is to narrate his life to his class and interweave three generations of his family's history. The film portrays the history teacher's narrative in the form of flashbacks to tell the story of a teenage boy and his mentally challenged older brother living in The Fens of England with their widowed father. In an opening scene the teacher's childless wife (Cusack) takes a child from a supermarket and believes it to be hers. The teacher explains to his class how he and his wife had a teenage romance which led to a disastrous abortion that left her infertile. The teacher is tortured by the guilt of this as well as the jealousy he demonstrated to his older brother when he suspected his girlfriend's child was his brother's. The girl's flirtation with the older brother sets off events that lead to the older boy's death by drowning. A side-theme is the teacher's grandfather, who was a successful brewer and who fathered with his daughter the narrator's older brother. The film ends with the teacher's dismissal from his school and a possible renewal of his relationship with his wife.
