Shafqat Cheema is a Pakistani film actor and director who has acted many roles in Urdu and Punjabi-language Lollywood films. Cheema is famous for his villainary roles in movies,is being chanted as "Pakistan’s favourite villain". He acted in highest grossed Pakistani movie Choorian which was released in October 1998 and earned more than Rs.200 million. He is also best known for his role of an antagonist in the 2011 film Bol. He has acted in leading and supporting roles in various other dramas serials and films.

The story is about a lower middle class boy Haider Ali (Sheraz) who is the son of a Pesh Imam (Nadeem Baig). He is in love with his neighborhood girl Sara (Kashaf Ali). Haider’s uncle (Irfan Khoosat) is a normal government officer who does not consider taking bribes to be a sin. Haider gets hooked by the local SHO (Shafqat Cheema) in a mob firing case. Ultimately after getting away with this case, Haider´s life takes a drastic change. Haider now sees the bigger and bitter picture of the current system, and how it affects everybody. The film starts by showing the protagonist, Zainab (Humaima Malick), about to be hanged. She tells her story to media right before this happens. She grew up with six sisters, a mother and a father. The father always wanted a son so that the son could help with the financial issues of the family; the father doesn't believe in women being gainfully employed. They have a transgender child (khawajah sara in Urdu) named Syed Saifullah Khan or Saifi (Amr Kashmiri). The father (Hakim) doesn't like Saifi since she is identified as a girl.
