Shigeki Hosokawa (細川 茂樹, Hosokawa Shigeki, born December 16, 1971 in Ōgaki, Gifu, Japan) is a former Japanese model and now a Japanese television and movie actor.
He married Mamiko Mise on 2 February 2011.
From 1995 to 2000, he was a professional model. He took time off from modeling in 2002 to study acting more thoroughly. He did not go to an acting school after his high school graduation so he used this time to improve his skill. Though mainly a model from 1995 to 2002, he had bit parts in commercials and drama series. One of his more notable roles during his "time off" from acting was as Takeda-sensei, a teacher in the hit live-action adaptation of GTO.
In late 2004, it was announced that Shigeki Hosokawa would be the lead in the then upcoming season of the long running Kamen Rider franchise, Kamen Rider Hibiki. He drew fans from both the target demographic of children and house wives alike. His role as Hibiki garnered many good reviews from Japanese critics. After Kamen Rider Hibiki finished airing, he then landed the role of Taira no Shigehira in the Samurai Drama, Yoshitsune. Both Kamen Rider Hibiki and Yoshitsune aired in the 8:00 time slot, AM and PM respectively. Because both shows aired in different 8 o'clock timeslots, he has been given the nickname "The 8 o'clock man" in Japan. Hosokawa's next major role was that of the ill-fated F.B.I. agent, Raye Iwamatsu, in the live action adaptations of the Death Note manga. He then went on to play the father character in the TV movie, Kaigo Etoile (The Nursing Care Star) which will start its Japanese airing on September 18, 2006. He played the father of the main character. His role is that of an aging and divorced father who has developed dementia.
He will next play a lead role in a one-hour live action special that will serve as a prologue to the upcoming Skullman anime series.

Biography
Shigeki Hosokawa attended Ogaki Municipal North Elementary School and Ogaki Municipal North Junior High School. He then graduated from Ogaki Public High School in 1988. Misa receives a second Death Note from Rem, another Shinigami. As Light joins the task force after Shiori's funeral, Misa becomes the second Kira and forces a TV station into broadcasting her tapes. Through her TV screen Misa, using her Shinigami eyes, kills a critic of the original Kira, as well as Detective Mogi and two policemen who tried to break up a makeshift Kira supporters' rally. Light's younger sister Sayu is almost killed for not supporting Kira until Soichiro crashes into the festival wearing a motorcycle helmet. Light later arrives to comfort Sayu and Soichiro but is spotted by Misa as the family leaves the area. Misa correctly identifies Light as the original Kira.

Hibiki and Asumu are on their way to a Makamou attack on the beach. Once they arrive there, they see dozens of people running from the massive Orochi, a beast rumored to be the strongest Makamou ever created. Once they arrive, Hibiki walks towards the Orochi and transforms, but all of his attacks prove useless against Orochi. The situation is made even more dire when Hibiki jumps in the way of an attack meant for Asumu. Taking the full force of the attack, Hibiki passes out as the Orochi swims away, leaving a panicking Asumu to get help. Hibiki ends up in the hospital and Asumu begins blaming himself for Hibiki's injuries. Feeling useless, he begins helping at Tachibana's, going through dozens of books to try to discover a way to defeat the Orochi. Upon coming across a book with his name on it, Asumu sits down and begins to read what turns out to be the history of Takeshi, the Oni and the Makamou war.
