Stella (or Estela) Inda (June 28, 1917 – December 7, 1995) was a Mexican film actress. She was the star of notable Mexican films, including Los olvidados by Luis Buñuel in 1949.

She started her career as extra in the successful film La Mujer del Puerto, starred by Andrea Palma. Also, she participated in Mexican films such as La Noche de los Mayas (1939), Santa (second souns version, 1943), Bugambilia (1944, with Dolores del Río), Amok (1945, with María Félix), and the success films Los olvidados (1949, directed by Luis Buñuel and El Rebozo de Soledad (1955). In the later years, she was an acting teacher in the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in Mexico, and directed a folkloric dance group called "Stella Inda y su Conjunto".

In 1947 she had a prominent but uncredited role as the historical personage La Malinche in the Hollywood epic Captain from Castile, opposite Cesar Romero as Hernán Cortés.

The film compiles three stories, each named for part of the main title. The first, "Fe" (faith), is the story of a woman who travels to a distant town seeking a miracle to save her husband from disease. On the journey she is raped by fellow pilgrims; returning home she finds that the miracle has taken place and her husband is well. She vows to make the pilgrimage again the next year. The second story, "Esperanza" (Hope), concerns a man who consents to be nailed to a cross as part of "JesusChrist" freak show, hoping to help his mother. Unfortunately he is unable to afford the silver nails that would have helped him avoid infection. The final story, "Caridad" (Charity), stars Katy Jurado as a humble woman facing a lack of charity from those in authority. She comes into conflict with her son over a childish fight, and her husband is killed.

In ancient times, Aztec warrior Popoca is buried alive after being caught having an affair with maiden Xochitl who is killed outright. Popoca is cursed with immortality in order to forever guard the Great Pyramid of Yucatán where his lover and the treasures of the Aztec are kept. In the present day, Dr. Eduardo Almada decides to experiment with hypnotic regression on his fiancée Flor Sepúlveda, through hypnosis Eduaro discovers that Flor is in fact a reincarnation of Xochitl, using her past memories to find Xochitl's remains. Taking the remains with them along with a golden breastplate (which contains a map to the location of the treasure) that was attached to the ancient maiden's remains, however before they are able to leave they are intercepted by the now reanimated Popoca. Managing to elude the immortal warrior, the group flees to Mexico Citywith Popoca in pursuit. Meanwhile Dr. Krupp, Almada's colleague who is also the villainous thief known as The Bat, discovers the existence of the treasure and sends his thugs after Almada in order to retrieve the breastplate. As Krupp's men converge on Flor's house in order to retrieve the breastplate, little do they know that Popoca is not far behind.
