Thorold Barron Dickinson (16 November 1903 – 14 April 1984) was a British film director, screenwriter, producer, and Britains's first university Professor of Film. Though somewhat overlooked during his lifetime, in recent years Dickinson's work has received much praise, with Martin Scorsese describing him as "a uniquely intelligent, passionate artist... They're not in endless supply."
