Walton Sanders Goggins, Jr. (born November 10, 1971) is an American actor, known for his roles as Shane Vendrell on The Shield and Boyd Crowder on Justified. He has appeared in films such as Django Unchained, Machete Kills, Lincoln, The Apostle, Chrystal, That Evening Sun, Miracle at St. Anna and Predators. He also co-produced and starred in the 2001 short film The Accountant, which won an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.
He is active in various non-profit organizations that range from environmental to humanitarian work. He regularly attends Global Green USA events. He connected to environmental issues through his wife, who directed the documentary The 11th Hour, about the environmental crisis.

Goggins was married to dog-walking business owner Leanne Goggins from 2001 until her death by suicide in 2004. He married filmmaker Nadia Conners in August 2011, and they have a son, Augustus, born in February 2011. Goggins is an avid photographer, and showcases some of his work on a blog that he created when he took time off work and traveled across India. He is an avid traveler, spending much of his free time in Cambodia, Central America, Morocco, Thailand, and Vietnam.He is active in various non-profit organizations that range from environmental to humanitarian work. He regularly attends Global Green USA events. He connected to environmental issues through his wife, who directed the documentary The 11th Hour, about the environmental crisis.

Au fin fond des Appalaches, la jeune fille d'un pasteur pentecôtiste, Mara, est courtisée par deux hommes : l'un des paroissiens, Garret, et un autre homme qui a quitté l'église, Augie. Son père, Lemuel, dirige une communauté de croyants qui manipulent le venin de serpents afin de montrer leur courage et faire leurs preuves devant Dieu. Pendant ce temps, avant son mariage, Mara est auscultée par la mère d'Augie, Hope, qui découvre qu'elle n'est plus vierge et qu'elle porte un enfant en elle. Cette dernière décide de se taire auprès de Lemuel et Garret mais elle oblige son fils à se repentir. Mais l'étau se resserre petit à petit autour du couple interdit, lorsque Augie se fait mordre à son tour et quand Garret surprend sa future épouse avec lui. Alors que son secret est dévoilé à son père et la secte, elle donne son accord pour faire face à son tour à leur tradition meurtrière afin de se purifier.

Mike Howell (Jesse Eisenberg) is a stoner who lives in the sleepy town of Liman, West Virginia, where he works as a convenience store clerk, and is planning to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Phoebe Larson (Kristen Stewart), but constantly fails to find the right moment. The film starts with Machete Cortez (Danny Trejo) and Sartana Rivera (Jessica Alba) attempting to capture weapon dealers who have been supplying the Mexican drug cartels. The military men are then all killed by the gangsters, who in turn are wiped out by another intervening party. Its leader murders Sartana while Machete is arrested by corrupt Sheriff Doakes (William Sadler) and Deputy Clebourne (Samuel Davis). Doakes unsuccessfully tries to hang Machete but the President of the US, Rathcock (Charlie Sheen), intervenes. In Texas 1858, the Speck brothers, Ace and Dicky, drive black slaves on foot. Among the shackled slaves is Django, sold off and separated from his wife, Broomhilda von Shaft. The Speck brothers are stopped by Dr. King Schultz, a German ex-dentist and bounty hunter from Düsseldorf, Prussia. Schultz asks to buy one of the slaves; when he questions Django about his knowledge of the Brittle brothers, for whom Schultz is carrying a warrant, Ace becomes irritated and aims his shotgun at Schultz. In January 1865, President Abraham Lincoln expects the Civil War to end within a month. However, he is concerned that his 1863 Emancipation Proclamation may be discarded by the courts once the war has concluded and that the Thirteenth Amendment be defeated by the returning slave states. Lincoln feels it is imperative to pass the amendment by the end of the month, thus removing any possibility that slaves who have already been freed may be re-enslaved. The Radical Republicans fear the amendment will be defeated by some who merely wish to delay its passage; the support of the amendment by Republicans in the border states is not yet assured either, since they prioritize the issue of ending the war. Even if all of them are ultimately brought on board, the amendment will still require the support of several Democratic congressmen if it is to pass. With dozens of Democrats having just become lame ducks after losing their re-election campaigns in the fall of 1864, some of Lincoln's advisors believe that he should wait until the new Republican-heavy Congress is seated, presumably giving the amendment an easier road to passage. Lincoln, however, remains adamant about having the amendment in place and the issue of slavery settled before the war is concluded and the southern states readmitted into the Union.

In 1873, New Mexico Territory, an unnamed loner (Daniel Craig) wakes up in the desert being injured with no memory and with a strange metal object on his wrist. After killing three drifters who think he might be worth bounty money, he takes their clothes, weapons and a horse. He wanders into the small town of Absolution where the local preacher Meacham (Clancy Brown) treats his wound. After the stranger subdues Percy Dolarhyde (Paul Dano), a volatile drunk who has been terrorizing the town, Sheriff Taggart (Keith Carradine) recognizes the stranger as Jake Lonergan, a wanted outlaw, and attempts to arrest him. Jake beats up the posse sent to take him in and nearly escapes, but a mysterious woman named Ella Swenson (Olivia Wilde) knocks him out. Taggart prepares to transport both Jake and Percy to Santa Fe for trial.
