The skeptical Sverdlov thinks the story is a mere fairy tale. On her way back to London, she opens an envelope he gave her and finds a tamarind seed.

College professor Waldemar Daninsky travels to Tibet and is bitten by a yeti, which causes him to become a werewolf. Daninsky later discovers her underground asylum populated by the bizarre subjects of her failed experiments. The crazed scientist revives Waldemar's murdered ex-wife, who also becomes a werewolf from being fatally bitten by Daninsky, and forces the two werewolves to fight. Waldemar kills his wife once again, and is in turn shot to death by the doctor's assistant, a woman who loves him enough to end his torment.

Following the death from accidental asphyxiation of Ralph Gurney, the 13th Earl of Gurney (Andrews), Jack Gurney (O'Toole) becomes the 14th Earl of Gurney. Jack gains another ally in Sir Charles' wife, Lady Claire (Browne), who hates her husband and befriends Jack just to spite him. She also begins sleeping with Jack's psychiatrist, Dr. Herder (Michael Bryant), to persuade him to cure Jack quickly.
