Devdas (Subhalekha Sudhakar) is a professional photographer. On a train he meets a melancholy woman (Bhanupriya) who boards the train without a proper ticket. He helps her with the money and tries to strike up a conversation. She only tells him that her name is "Sitaara" and that she has nowhere to go in the big city. The reticent Sitara intrigues Devdas, who takes pity on her position and offers her shelter at his home. Devdas sees the photogenic face of Sitaara and helps her become a model and film star. Eventually, as he manages her dates and schedules, he develops a liking for her. When Sitaara vehemently refuses to go to a certain village for shooting, he gets insulted by the producer. An upset Devdas demands an explanation and forces her to reveal her traumatic past.

Sekhar (Chiranjeevi), Hari (Rajendra Prasad), Vasu (Narayana Rao) and two other friends are the unemployed youth living in a colony who are looking for jobs and are unable to make a living. Geeta (Suhasini Mani Ratnam) moves into their colony with her father and every body falls for her one trying to make a fool of each other. They tease her but she teaches them a lesson and later they become friends. Sekhar also likes her but does not express it. Geeta changes the lives of all of them by making them earn their living by what they know and implementing it successfully. When Sekhar confesses his love to her he comes to know of a shocking truth that she has a terminal disease and will die soon. But before dying, Geeta helps Vasu by marrying his sister to Sekhar.

Ranga Babu (Allari Naresh) is a driver whose childhood friend is Srinivas (Srinivas Avasarala). Morampudi Anil Kumar (Ravi Teja) is a well educated but unemployed youth who comes to the city in search of a job. After attending a hundred interviews, he is offered a night watchman job by an employer who is impressed by Anil's honesty and dignity of labour. Anil starts looking for a room to stay in a nearby colony. Satyanandam (Jeeva) stays in the colony and takes care of a house of his friend living in America, collecting rent for him. Swathi (Kalyani) stays in that house and works in a software firm. Satyanandam is interested in collecting a second rent for himself and offers the house to Anil on the condition that he can stay there only during the day, without Swathi's knowledge. Anil agrees and moves into the house. Anil is impressed by the way the room is decorated and artfully arranged and understands that the lady staying there has a very good taste.

Rajendra Prasad is a talented but very lazy tailor who believes that good fortune and luck alone will make him a rich and successful person. He is the only tailor in the whole village. Even though Subhalekaha Sudakhar, the assistant of Rajendra Prasad, and Mallikarjuna Rao, the cloth vendor, keep urging him in vain to work, he never listens to them. The story starts with Divakaram (Rajendra Prasad) coming late to video-shoot a marriage, where he sees Bhuvaneshwari and falls head over heels in love. He then gets a hold of Bhuvaneshwari's maternal uncle VP Jagannatham (Pradeep Shakti) and gets information about Bhuvaneshwari. He gathers that she respects only the people who are self-sufficient and straightforward. He also finds out that she is not married and is about to get transferred to Rajamundry (where he stays) soon. She works as a railway booking clerk. So Divakaram comes back to the Rajamundry and gets permission from the doctor (Shubha), who raises him as her foster child to use the front veranda in her house for his video shop. In order to secure the capital he uses all kinds of tricks. He blackmails Bhagyam (Jayalalita), cheats Chinna Rao (Mallikarjuna Rao) and claims a chit which he never was a member of, and so on. Finally starts the video shop. That's when Bhuvaneswari enters the scene. All the while Jagannatham writes him letters in her name making Divakaram assume that she is in love with him. Finally when she lands in Rajamundy he approaches for marriage. It's then that he realizes that he had been cheated by Jagannatham. Meanwhile, she finds out all of Divakaram’s mischief through the neighbours. To teach him lesson, she puts forward a deal that she would marry him only if he stays out of cheating, and does not utter a lie in a month. Divakaram goes for it.

Madhusudhana Rao aka Chinnababu (Chiranjeevi) is a wannabe football player, who would like to represent his country. Chinnababu is also the youngest son of Narasimham (J.V. Somayajulu). Chinnababu is in love with his childhood friend and neighbour Priyadarshani (Bhanupriya). Despite his father's efforts to stop him, Chinnababu's love towards football grows and his coach encourages him to participate in leagues. Priyadarshani supports him in all his endeavours. Chinnababu's younger sister's marriage gets fixed and unable to arrange enough money for the marriage. Narasimham asks his sons to contribute. But, his sons, who are controlled by their wives deny any help. Frustrated Narasimham tries to sell his house. But, Chinnababu stops him in the last moment and sends him money, saying that his elder sister sent it. His sister's marriage is done uninterrupted, without Chinnababu's presence. After marriage his elder sister arrives and denys that she sent any money. Surprised and shocked chiru's family later learns that Chinnababu donated one of his kidney to save a rich man's heir and sent that money. Narasimham appreciates his son's efforts, for not even bothering about his football career and saving his house on time.
