Aatma Gowravam (Telugu: ఆత్మ గౌరవం) is a 1965 Telugu Drama film produced by Dukkipati Madhusudhana Rao which marked the directorial debut of the great Indian film director K. Viswanath. The film is based on the Novel and Story by Yaddanapoodi Sulochana Rani and won the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film in that year.

Gummadi is a wealthy man. He has two daughters. His father is Relangi. Gummadi loves his elder daughter Sundari (Kanchana) dearly and appoints a Private Master (Ram Mohan) for tuition at home. Krishna (Krishna) wanted to become very rich and is prepared to do anything with the help of his friends Vijayalalitha and Chalam. During the private tuitions Sundari and teacher started loving each other. They decided to marry with the permission of their elders. Krishna traps Gummadi and wanted to become his son-in-law. There is a friction between the family members. Gummadi is ready to forget he help from the father of Private Master and decides to marry Sundari with Krishna. Grandfather Relangi helps Sundari and Private Master to marry in a Temple. To ease the tension and save the family prestige, her sister Sukanya convinces Krishna for marrying her. Gummadi sends Sundari out of home. They live happily in poverty, while Krishna gradually making money. Finally Grandfather with the help of Private master and Sundari exposes Krishna and his friends and the film ends happily.

Ranga (Akkineni) is son of Teacher (Raavi Kondala Rao). His friend is Vasu (Jaggaiah). Buchabbai is proprietor of Buchabbai Estates. Buchabbai has a son Raju (Chalam) and two daughters (Kanchana and Rajasree). Vasu and Elder daughter are in love each other. Ranga works in the office of Buchabbai. Ranga hits the car driven by the daughters of Buchabbai. They influence their father to remove Ranga from the service. He protests peacefully in front of their house with friends. During this period he gets close to their daughters and son. He finally convinces Buchabbai with the help of Vasu (in disguise of his rich father) and becomes his son-in-law.

Judge Chandrasekharam is very kind and helpful to the relatives of the culprits. His wife dies after giving birth to a baby boy.
