Synopsis
Headed towards Hollywood, Rex (Richard Grieco) is a mentally ill drifter with a penchant for balls-to-the-wall gunplay. Trapped in a delusion that he is a modern 'Old West' gunslinger, Rex begins a murder spree that leaves police and law enforcement dead in his path. Meanwhile, hard-drinking cop John Shepard (Nick Mancuso) is suddenly thrust into the spotlight by newsanchor Maggie Hewitt (Nancy Allen) after killing one of L.A.'s most notorious drug dealers in a skilled shoot out. When Rex learns of this heroic deed, he becomes fixated on both Hewitt, who he begins to stalk and terrorize, and Shepard, who he vows to shoot and kill. As a tense high noon battle looms on the horizon, John and Maggie scramble to outwit and outshoot this delusional maniac.Actors

Joanne, a fashion photographer, helps her friend, Lane Daniels (Hilary Duff), an aspiring writer, get in to see Kate White, primary editor at Cosmopolitan Magazine, to pitch a story idea - which doesn't go well. On the way out the door, Kate and Lane discuss how hard it is to find a good man, which leads to Kate assigning Lane the task of joining the business world to find a man amongst all those eligible 'downtown' bachelors, and writing an article about that. She is to go under-cover and look for her 'magic man' (one for which she has a lengthy checklist of desirable attributes, as opposed to her friend Joanne's checklist which consists of: 1> breathing, and 2> through 3> cute). With a fraudulent résumé, Lane bluffs, bumbles, and sabotages her way into getting an administrative assistant position in the Corporate Strategic Planning department of a major investment firm. She is to work for Tom Rinehart (Michael McMillian), Managing Director, who is a bit of a quirky 'stick in the mud' when it comes to personal 'risk-taking'.

In The Man Who Wouldn't Die art imitates life for Thomas Grace (Roger Moore), a famous British ex-novelist who wrote a series of acclaimed crime stories featuring a villain patterned after real-life criminal Bernard Drake (Malcolm McDowell). Now living in America, Grace works as a hack reporter for a city newspaper. After reading one of Grace's books, Jessie Gallardo (Nancy Allen), a waitress with burgeoning psychic abilities, predicts several murders—with Grace as one of the victims. Her visions identify the enemy as Drake, who has escaped from prison by faking his own death in a fire. As Drake sets out to frame the author for a series of grisly murders based around his novels, it is up to Thomas and Jessie to clear their names, stop him, and stay alive in the process. Eric McCormack co-stars as a doubtful newspaper colleague.

Daily Flash newspaper journalist Brenda Starr (Joan Woodbury), and her photographer, Chuck Allen (Syd Saylor), assigned to cover a fire in an old house where they discover the wounded Joe Heller (Wheeler Oakman),a mobster suspected of stealing a quarter-million dollar payroll. The dying Heller tells Brenda that someone took his satchel of stolen money and he gives her a coded message.
