Synopsis
Yash Thakur (Sanjay Kapoor) and Suraj Prakash (Salman Khan) are inseparable friends. After completing their studies, they go their different ways. Yash takes over from his father's (Paresh Rawal) underground and mafia-like business, while Suraj becomes an officer of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Yash's dad is attacked by a rival gang, and he loses the use of his leg, making him become a wheelchair user. Meanwhile, Yash marries his sweetheart Prathna (Shilpa Shetty). After completing his training successfully, Suraj is assigned to the investigation against his friend, Yash, which shocks Suraj, but which he accepts. Yash's criminal dad has many contacts, and soon Yash also comes to know of Suraj's job, and his assignment. Suraj must now convince Yash that his father is not what he appears to be, and at the same time take criticism and pressure from his superiors for not proceeding with the investigation against Yash.Actors

Hero (Salman Khan) works for a courier company owned by Khanna (Shakti Kapoor). He is spirited and humorous and is in love with Rani (Rani Mukerji), but she simply thinks of Hero as a good friend. Muskaan (Kajol) is an orphan girl living on a farm run by her overly-protective older brother, Vishal (Arbaaz Khan) and their 'Chachu' (Dharmendra). Muskaan's childhood friend, Ujaala (Anjala Zaveri), has been carrying a torch for the brooding Vishal since childhood, but he won't give her the time of day. Later on Muskaan decides she wants to go to university in Mumbai and has to persuade her brother to let her go. Once in the big city, Suraj (Salman Khan), an underachieving student, who does not get along with his stepmother and is estranged from his father, falls in love with Muskaan. After a few attempts at messing with Muskaan and trying to get her attention, Suraj finally succeeds and Muskaan falls in love with him. One day, when Vishal comes to visit Muskaan, he is mistakenly considered her boyfriend by Suraj and his group of friends. They consequently try to fight Vishal but instead get beat up. Vishal does not like Suraj because his terms and conditions of his future brother-in-law are very strenuous physically and he thinks Suraj is neither competent nor a man to be taken seriously. And he decides to bring Muskaan back to the farm sensing Suraj's bad influence on her studies. Suraj pursues her and starts working on the farm as a stable boy after a chance meeting with 'Chachu' in which he saves Chachu's life. Vishal decides to give Suraj another chance and puts him to the test; however, he is rejected. Vishal wants Muskaan to marry the brother of Thakur Vijay Singh (Nirmal Pandey), not knowing that Thakur Vijay Singh is doing this to merely extract vengeance against the Thakur family for a previous humiliation his own family received. So Suraj must now prevent this from happening and he must also be able to win Vishal's heart if he is really interested in marrying Muskaan.

Ajay (Sohail Khan) is head of his college gang named Aryans. A girl named Ayesha (Sameera Reddy) to which Ajay is introduced and become friends. Gradually, Ajay and Ayesha falls in love with each other. This enrages Ayesha's father (Kabir Bedi) because of his status. Ajay challenges to get Ayesha back to him in nick time. Mr.Verma's friend and business partner Chopra (Dalip Tahil) too gets enraged and decides to finish off Ajay, but Chopra has an ulterior motive, Chopra's son (Raja Bherwani) to get married by Ayesha only to get Verma family's wealth. So Chopra appoints a notorious criminal Bhaijaan (Sanjay Dutt) to finish off Ajay. But Bhaijaan refuses as he do not do any wrong deeds in month of Ramadan. So Bhaijaan appoints his two head henchmen Munna (Rajpal Yadav) & Chhote (Sarfaraz Khan). Ajay at first empowers them during a fight but no sooner the formers appoint a gang to beat up Ajay brutally and left him dead on streets. Soon Ajay recovers from his injuries and enters Verma's mansion. An enraged Ajay challenges Verma to get back Ayesha at any cost. Verma too keeps a condition, if within 24 hours he didn't get back to Ayesha, he will have to get out of her life forever. Ajay accepts this deal. Chopra again plans a conspiracy and arrests Ajay without any crime. The police inspector (Aashif Sheikh) first beats Ajay and the inspector gets equally beaten up brutally and Ajay runs from the jail. Now Chopra calls Chhote to kill Ajay and promises to give him loads of money but Chhote replies that Ramadan is ended and Bhaijaan will finish Ajay. This conversation gets taped by Ayesha's little sister. Ajay gets surrounded by henchmen and knocks each one but interrupted by Bhaijaan. Just before Bhaijaan is about to kill Ajay, the former says he is a lover and will die once. This made Bhaijaan save Ajay. The reason was Bhaijaan had a brother Irfan who committed suicide because Bhaijaan didn't care for his feelings. During Eid ul Fitr Bhaijaan thanks Allah for giving a boy like Ajay in turn of his deceased brother and decides to help him. The very day, Ajay arrives to the Verma's mansion within 24 hours and decides to stop the wedding of Raman and Ayesha. Bhaijaan, who has a change of heart and helps him but soon interrupted by Chhote. Chhote disobeys Bhaijaan and soon a fight ensues. Bhaijaan requests Ajay to go but he is beaten up badly. Ajay, interrupts wedding and points gun on Verma. Soon Ajay and Ayesha gets married. Just about Verma is about to kill Ajay, Mini plays the tape of the deal to her father and soon Chopra and Raman are kicked off. Bhaijaan kills all the henchmen and finally slits Munna and Chhote with a sword. The film ends on a happy note with Ayesha and Ajay are united and Bhaijaan reconciles with Ajay.

Garv is a story of three brave and honest cops: Samar Singh (Amrish Puri), Arjun Ranawat (Salman Khan) and Hyder Ali Khan (Arbaaz Khan). Samar wants to reduce the amount of crime in the state. The trio faces obstacles because the powerful and corrupt politicians (played by Govind Namdeo, Anant Jog and Shivaji Satam) are connected with underworld don Zafar Supari (Mukesh Rishi). The politicians decide to transfer Samar Singh while Hyder Ali is named a traitor and is killed. The goons next target Arjun by gang-raping his sister, Rakhi (Akanksha) and hurting his other family members. Arjun, in a fit of anger, kills the rapists and surrenders himself to his police colleauges. He is seen walking up the steps with police in the opening scenes of the movie. He wants to be awarded capital punishment but later the court finds the politicians wrong and lets Arjun go free.

The storyline was intended to have been about terrorism and how an anti-terrorist intelligence officer Captain Raja Sethi (Sanjay Dutt) who is part of a secret organisation known as Force 10 is sent on a mission to find an Afghan terrorist named Nasheman (Raveena Tandon). After he is captured and tortured by Nasheman and her right hand man Mast Gul (Rahul Dev), his partner Captain Jeet Sharma (Salman Khan) is sent to rescue him. However by now, Raja Sethi is brainwashed by Mast Gul in believing his country and his friends has abandoned him and he too turns to terrorism.
