Synopsis
Le Commandant Lassalle enquête sur plusieurs meurtres ayant eu lieu en peu de temps. Il semblerait que le suspect le plus probable est un certain Gabriel Narvik, cependant celui-ci est aveugle. Sydney Wells is a successful classical violinist from Los Angeles who has been blind since she was five years old, caused by an accident with firecrackers. Fifteen years later, after celebrating conductor and pianist Simon McCullogh's birthday during rehearsal, Sydney undergoes a cornea transplant, which causes her eyesight to return, a bit blurry at first. As time goes on, Sydney's vision begins to clear; however, she also begins experiencing terrifying visions, mostly of fire and of people dying. She also sees people that are already dead, on one occasion when a girl passes right through her. Sydney attempts to unravel the mystery of the visions, and also to convince others, primarily her visual therapist and fellow violinist, Paul Faulkner, who helps her in her quest. She knows that she is not going insane.

Neo and Bane lie unconscious in the medical bay of the ship Hammer. Matt Murdock is a blind lawyer in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, where he runs a firm with best friend Franklin "Foggy" Nelson. As a child, Matt was blinded by a toxic waste spill while walking home from school after discovering that his father, former boxer Jack "The Devil" Murdock, had become an enforcer for a local mobster. The accident enhanced Matt's other senses and gave him sonar to "see" via sonic vibrations. Matt trained himself in martial arts. Quinn McKenna, membre d'un commando de Rangers américains, est témoin du crash d'un vaisseau spatial lors d'une mission de sauvetage d’otages. Il est le seul survivant. De son côté, Quinn a été arrêté par de mystérieux mercenaires, aux ordres de Will Traeger pour le Projet Stargazer. Ce dernier fait par ailleurs appel au docteure Casey Bracket, une exo-biologiste. Elle est accueillie dans un immense complexe dans lequel est conservé un Predator. Quant à Quinn, il se retrouve dans un bus avec d'anciens soldats ayant commis de graves délits et dont la plupart souffrent de troubles psychologiques : "Nebraska" Williams, Baxley, Coyle, Lynch et Nettles.
