The story of this film is a combination of the 1999 Hollywood film Blue Streak, which itself is a remake of the 1965 British film The Big Job, and the 1979 Bollywood film Gol Maal.
Synopsis
Fortunately, before his arrest Shyam manages to hide the diamonds at a nearby construction site, intending to return for it as soon as he gets out of prison. Two years pass and Shyam's release date arrives. Returning to his ill-gotten gains, he is horrified to discover that what was once a building site is now a new police headquarters with his stolen diamonds forming part of the foundation. Shyam decides to create and play the role of Inspector Ram and soon becomes the favourite of ACP Ranbir Singh (Paresh Rawal) at the police station.Actors

Sapna (Karisma Kapoor) has been brought up by her three doting, but eccentric uncles. Uncle no. 1 (Paresh Rawal) is a Hindu religious fanatic, while Uncle. No. 2 (Om Puri) is a former wrestler who is very in to fitness, and makes Sapna do intense workout routines daily. Uncle no. 3 (Anupam Kher) is in to fashion and western music. The uncles all wish for her to marry, but their differences clash, as each of them want the boy to have the same interests as them. Sapna is tired of dancing to her uncle's tunes all her life, and wishes to take a group trip to Europe. However, when she expresses her wishes to her nanny, Mary (Himani Shivpuri), her uncles fire the nanny for giving Sapna such foolish ideas. However, Mary works for another family, and tells them of Sapna's plight. She shares Sapna's photo with Raja (Salman Khan). He is pleased with her photo and is determined to make her his bride. Meanwhile, Sapna looks to a last resort and tries to run away, but Uncle no. 3 catches her and volunteers to take her to the airport himself. On her travels through Europe, Raja creates nothing but trouble for her, but circumstances separate them from the rest of the tour group, and Raja saves Sapna's life. They fall in love, and wish to marry once they return to India, but Raja must first impress all three of her uncles. Through a series of comic events, Raja wins their hearts. He and Sapna happily marry in the end.

A woman Neha (Ramya Krishnan) witnesses the murder of a friend of her named Madhu (Divya Dutta) by a notorious smuggler Zorawar (Paresh Rawal) but she skips while being chased by Zorawar's goons and ends up in the secure custody of police inspector Arjun Singh (Amitabh Bachchan), a friend of police inspector Pyare Mohan (Govinda). In reality, Neha, unaware of their identities, believes Arjun to be "Pyare", about whom she was agreeably apprised of by Madhu, and so, Arjun has to impersonate Pyare, giving rise to hilarious situations. Concurrently, Pyare flirts with Seema (Raveena Tandon) - Arjun's sister. Everything could have been passable for the two cops if two lookalikes of the cops, by the nicknames "Bade Miyan" (Amitabh Bachchan) and "Chote Miyan" (Govinda) had not been a cause of concern for them because of the misdeeds they commit leading to Arjun and Pyare being accused as the miscreants everytime. With background scores of the songs (specially "Bade Miyan Toh Bade Miyan") that stir the listeners, the movie advances through scenes of thrill and amusement.

Raja Babu (Govinda) is a poor orphan adopted by a wealthy village couple (Kader Khan and Aruna Irani). He is a typical country bumpkin, good-hearted but lacking in urban manners. His vanity, not discouraged by his mother's doting, leads him to have his photograph taken often at the village photo studio, each time in a different outfit. Seema (Taapsee Pannu) is a young girl who lives in Mumbai with her father (Anupam Kher). He, being an active military officer, wants Seema to marry a similar man. He had arranged Seema's marriage to such people five times in a row, with Seema evading all five arrangements. Her father had now arranged her marriage for the sixth time, which Seema evades again and escapes to Goa to live with her uncle, her father's younger brother (Anupam Kher), in a double role. Upon realization, Seema calls her grandmother and makes her beat up Jai until he finally makes his run. Back home, Jai tells a similar story. Jai tells the other two that they two were deeply in love and were now dating. Siddharth, meanwhile, isn't interested in Seema.

Chetan Chauhan (Sanjay Dutt) and Bhagat Bhosle (Ajay Devgan) are two con artists, who have recently robbed Anthony Gonsalves (Arjun Rampal). Bhagat first meets Anthony and steals his suitcase, covering it up with a fake suitcase of his own, and tries to leave with it, but the real suitcase accidentally comes out of the fake one, causing Anthony to chase Bhagat, who escapes.
