Sergio Benvenuti is a shy seller of contracts for a Roman company of music, but because of his character he cannot find even a customer. So he asks for help from a fellow named Nadia. But the two have never seen themselves, and so it takes a equivoc. In fact Sergio is also a friend of a penniless swindler, who before his arrest for corruption told him many nonsense notices about important American actors like Robert De Niro, John Wayne and Robert Redford. In Italy burden of the economic crisis three men in Rome: Ulisse, Fulvio and Domenico decide to rent an apartment together in order to live with their modest work. However the three encounter any difficulties that have forced them to always be one step away from starvation. Ulisse has to maintain his wife and daughter selling recordings of important foreign singers, Fulvio has the task of reviewing silly scandals of celebrities instead of writing articles for major artists, while Domenico must keep his wife and children going to make love with old single pensioners. At the end of the story the three, despite all the difficulties, able to have a little luck in their lives.

Rome. Carlo Verdone plays three roles in three episodes joined together. The Roman hick Enzo must by car with a friend to reach a party of friends outside of Italy. The flower child Ruggero returns to Rome from his father (Mario Brega) who believes that the guy has psychological problems, and so he calls home this home a priest, a teacher and a very problematic nephew. Mr. Mario then is going to change the mentality of the guy with the help of these wise people, in the hope that Ruggero and his girlfriend (who is also a flower child ) find themselves the right way to live in a modern society. Gepy is a famous host of a very popular Italian talk show in Rome. On the talk show, in which the serious problems of the Italians of the lower middle class are (trivially) analyzed, one day a disabled girl who is forced in a wheelchair is invited to participate. The young girl named Arianna immediately discovers the careless manner that Gepy uses to analyze the problems of the participants, because he almost uses them as puppets to advertise himself. When she has the courage to put a bad light on the character of Gepy, the audience immediately falls and the program closes. Gepy gets fired. But fate between him and Arianna is yet to be fulfilled.
