Synopsis
Antonis ne travaille pas et se contente de vivre aux crochets de son riche oncle Charilaos Toukoura dont il est l'héritier. Celui-ci a décidé de marier son neveu. Une erreur dans les petites annonces a placé une proposition de machine à coudre dans les annonces matrimoniales. Charilaos entraîne son neveu chez le vendeur, Fotis. Ce dernier a deux sœurs célibataires. La plus jeune, sur laquelle Charilaos jette son dévolu pour son neveu, Roula est amoureuse d'un autre, Kostas, un commis du magasin de Charilaos. Pour mettre fin au projet de mariage, un soir, dans une taverne, elle danse un zeimbekiko provocant. Charilaos est choqué et ne veut plus entendre parler d'elle. Mais, Antonis, qui était aussi présent, est tombé fou d'elle. Il doit alors affronter la colère de sa maîtresse, Rena, avec qui il est depuis cinq ans. Il vole alors de l'argent dans la caisse du magasin pour installer confortablement Rena. Kostas est accusé du vol et renvoyé. Finalement, les vérités eclatent et les couples Antonis-Rena et Kostas-Roula convolent en justes noces.Actors

Zachos (Vassílis Avlonítis), président de la société des bonnes mœurs locales, est en fait un coureur de jupons. Il hérite d'un de ses cousins, mais il y a une condition. Aristéa (Georgía Vassiliádou), la propriétaire de l'appartement que son cousin louait doit d'abord être mariée. La solution envisagée par le défunt était que Zachos l'épouse. A cunning widow and her niece live in a very old house which they inherited from her husband. By spreading rumours of a treasure chest with a huge fortune hidden in the house, the women are able to rent out several rooms to treasure-hunters. A builder attempts to manipulate the woman into selling the "worthless" house, while she manipulates the builder and the new tenants into damaging the house so she can force modern refurbishments for the house. The tenants and builder become involved in a tangled web of love, lies, and emotional entanglements building to the happy ending.

Une jeune femme (Smaroula Giouli) est arrêtée pour le meurtre d'une vieille femme (Miranta Myrat). Elle passe aux aveux. Son récit commence avec la guerre. Son père (Vasilis Diamantopoulos), un officier dans l'armée grecque, se replie avec celle-ci en Égypte. Pendant ce temps, en Grèce, sa femme prend comme amant un officier allemand tandis que sa fille s'engage dans la résistance. Lorsqu'il est envoyé en mission en Grèce, sa femme le dénonce aux autorités allemandes et il est exécuté. À la fin de la guerre, la fille vient tuer sa mère. Cependant, elle ne l'a pas tuée sur le coup. Pendant qu'elle raconte son histoire à la police, sa mère déclare à l'article de la mort qu'elle a essayé de se suicider et que sa fille est innocente. Dans un dernier souffle, elle lui accorde son pardon.

Orestis (Nikos Stavridis) is a jealous husband and always appears to be suspicious of his partner. He stops in a cafe and upon finding yellow gloves belonging to wife Rena (Maro Kontou), he suspects her of cheating. He heads to his house in order to ask Rena if the gloves are hers. The situation is resolved and he is embarrassed to find out that they are not Rena's and that he was enraged over nothing. Before he is calmed down, he suspects Rena of having cheated on him with Moustakias (Mimis Fotopoulos) until it is revealed the gloves belonged to the servant Toula (Martha Vourtsi). The film utilises the classic trope of a jealous partner to drive its storyline.
