Irene "Rena" Vlachopoulou (Ειρήνη «Ρένα» Βλαχοπούλου; February 20, 1923 – July 29, 2004) was a Greek actress and singer. She starred in theatre, musical, and Greek cinema productions, including The Gambler and The Countess of Corfu.
Vlahopoulou was born on the island of Corfu, the fifth of nine children. She first began playing the piano, taught by her father, Giannis Vlahopoulos. When she turned ten, she began singing at a local bakery; she was a talented dancer and actress and a qualified operetta mezzo soprano. Over the course of her fifty-five-year career she appeared in 105 theatrical plays between 1939 and 1994, and twenty-six films between 1951 and 1985. She was a charismatic comedienne, with considerable singing and dancing talents, and remained hugely popular on stage and film throughout her long career.
In 1938, Vlahopoulou fell in love with an AEK footballer, Kostas Vasileiou. The couple eloped to Athens and were married in the summer of 1939. Rena began singing at the Oasis varieté show in the Zappeion gardens, where Mimis Traiforos presented his new work. In the winter of 1930–40, she sang at the World Theatre of Kostas Makedos at Panepistimiou Street. In the winter of 1940, the Italian Army bombed Corfu, and she lost two of her relatives. The marriage with Vasileiou ended, and in 1942 she married her second husband, a banker named Gianni Kostopoulos. She divorced Kostopoulos in 1946.
She married her third and final husband, Giorgos Lafazanis on September 18, 1967, but the couple remained childless. Vlahopoulou left Finos Film in 1966 and moved to Karagiannis-Karatzopoulos.
From 1972, the Greek cinema went through a period of decline because of the introduction of television, but Vlahopoulou continued to star in films for the next seven years.
During the 1980s she suffered from gastrorrhagias. In 1992 and 1993, she starred in the musical comedy Gia Tin Ellada Re Gamo To (Για την Ελλάδα ρε γαμώ το), after which she retired.

Rena Vlahopoulou plays signora Antzolina, an old-time Corfiote aristocratic lady who has fallen on hard times and is working as a piano teacher while reminiscing of her old romance with her lost fiancé. She lives in her palatial mansion in Corfu which becomes the object of desire of Sotiris Karelis, an enterpreneur, who wants to convert it into a hotel. Karelis romances the old aristocrat thinking that at a suitable price she will eventually agree to sell her mansion to him. When she resists, he tells her a story that he is friends with her lost fiancé.

Lia (Rena Vlachopoulou) is married to retired general Solon Karaleon (Dionisis Papagiannopoulos), who is now chairman of a public organization responsible for military supplies. Her brother Antonis ([Antreas Duzos]]) is working in the organization and has made many embezzlements there along with other employees. To justify the luxurious life of her brother, Lia and Antonis pretend that he is financially supported by a wealthy uncle of them who lives in the US, which in reality is very poor. Someday, this uncle sends a letter, possibly revealing that he is not rich, to Lia which is received by Solon but he doesn't open it in order to give it personally to Lia. Her brother tries to retrieve it but Solon leaves to his home with the letter in his wallet. Arriving home it is revealed he lost his wallet on a street and Lia is calmed down that the fraud is not revealed. Solon heads towards the police department to report the loss. Inntermittently, Timoleon "Timos" Lamprou, a very honest and stubborn accountant who frequently loses his job due to his character, finds the wallet and goes to Lia's home to return it. he refuses to give the letter to Lia as the letter is firstly directed to Solon Karaleon house and secondly in person is addressed to Lia. So Timos refuses to give it to Lia which makes her furious, angry and finally violent as she attempts to throw an ashtray to him. Before she throws the ashtray, Solon returns home and is given the letter and the wallet by Timos. Solon then gives the letter to Lia but she refuses to take it, wanting not to draw attention on her ersistence to have it.

Rena Eleftheriou (Rena Vlachopoulou), directrice d'une agence de voyages de New York, vient passer ses vacances en Grèce avec sa nièce Jenny (Zoi Laskari) et un greco-américain Jim Pappas (Giannis Vogiatzis). Elle décide d'aider financièrement son frère pour financer l'exploitation d'une source minérale découverte sur la propriété de son épouse. À Rhodes, où elle cherche un financement, Rena rencontre un homme d'affaires, Petros Ramoglou (Giorgos Gavriilidis).
