Johnny Lever, Anupam Kher, Reema Lagoo, Shakti Kapoor, Saeed Jaffrey, Kader Khan have supporting roles, while Salman Khan makes a special appearance. This film borrows some elements from the 1991 Hollywood comedy, What About Bob?. Johnny Lever received the Filmfare award for Best Comedian for his performance on this film. The film was a success upon its release.The story thread was from the sathyan Anthikad Malayalam movie "Kinnaram" released in 1983.
The film is also noted for bringing together two superstars Salman Khan and Juhi Chawla together in a scene, the only time they were paired together. The film also reunites Anil Kapoor and Govinda after Awaargi (1990). All four actors also appeared in Salaam-E-Ishq in 2007.
Synopsis
Raja is a minor league crook who sells railway tickets on the black market at Amirpur Station. Tired of his job he looks for new ways to make a quick buck. One day, along with his friend Ghafoor (Johny Lever) and a police inspector (Avtar Gill), he robs Rs 2.5 million from the railway treasury. Later, Raja and Ghafoor bump off the inspector and run away with the loot to Bombay.Actors

Ajay (Anil Kapoor) an intelligent ex-student of the S. T. School is appointed in the same school as a teacher. Jaya (Karisma Kapoor) who studies in his class harasses him by playing mischievous pranks. Ajay's refusal to enter into a romantic relationship with Jaya upsets her. She challenges him that she will one day become his wife. In a hurry he marries Saraswati (Juhi Chawla), an illiterate orphan girl. Jaya befriends Saraswati by teaching her everything from cooking to reading and writing. One day, some terrorists attack the school and take the children as hostages. Ajay, Jaya and all are trapped. In between Jaya gives her life to save Ajay, there Saraswati reveals that she knows about Jaya's love for Ajay and the same feelings were in Ajay's heart which he never discloses due to his faithfulness towards his wife. Jaya dies at the end of the film.

A woman Neha (Ramya Krishnan) witnesses the murder of a friend of her named Madhu (Divya Dutta) by a notorious smuggler Zorawar (Paresh Rawal) but she skips while being chased by Zorawar's goons and ends up in the secure custody of police inspector Arjun Singh (Amitabh Bachchan), a friend of police inspector Pyare Mohan (Govinda). In reality, Neha, unaware of their identities, believes Arjun to be "Pyare", about whom she was agreeably apprised of by Madhu, and so, Arjun has to impersonate Pyare, giving rise to hilarious situations. Concurrently, Pyare flirts with Seema (Raveena Tandon) - Arjun's sister. Everything could have been passable for the two cops if two lookalikes of the cops, by the nicknames "Bade Miyan" (Amitabh Bachchan) and "Chote Miyan" (Govinda) had not been a cause of concern for them because of the misdeeds they commit leading to Arjun and Pyare being accused as the miscreants everytime. With background scores of the songs (specially "Bade Miyan Toh Bade Miyan") that stir the listeners, the movie advances through scenes of thrill and amusement.

Coming from small-town Chiaroscuro to big city Bombay, conman and compulsive liar, Raj Malhotra (Govinda), a lawyer by profession, sets up shop with fellow lawyer, Mohan. He falls in love with Sonam (Sushmita Sen), daughter of a wealthy lawyer Tejpal. He devises a scheme to marry into this wealthy family, and he succeeds. Deeka (Vinod Khanna) had been in jail for several crimes, including bank robberies. When his prison sentence is over, Deeka decides to go straight. Unfortunately, while in a bank, he becomes a victim of a bungling bank robber, Inder or Eena (Rishi Kapoor), who needs money to get medical treatment for his mother (Dina Pathak). When the police arrive, they witness Eena with the notorious bank robber, and come to the conclusion that Deeka has gone back to his criminal ways. Deeka's attempts to convince them are in vain, and he must escape together with Eena for now, and he does so. The police are after Deeka, and he must get a hold of Eena and get him to confess to his crime, and therefore clear his name. But Eena is unwilling to confess, and runs away from Deeka.

Living in a luxurious mansion named Swarg, this is the story of Mr. Kumar or Sahabji (Rajesh Khanna) a rich businessman and his wife (Madhavi) sister Jyoti (Juhi Chawla), two brothers Vicky (Raja Bundela) and Ravi (Dilip Dhawan), and a sister-in-law (Neena Gupta). He also has a loyal servant, Krishna (Govinda). Sahabji has a clash of wits with Dhanraj (Paresh Rawal), a dishonest man who successfully schemes with Sahabji's two brothers and sets fire in Sahabji's factory, citing short circuit as the reason and takes over the luxurious mansion and vast business empire, leaving Sahabji virtually penniless, and devastated with the passing away of his wife. His brothers have now taken over the money, the mansion and his business. Krishna was scolded & slapped very painfully and was asked by sahabji to leave the mansion because he was charged of stealing Jyoti's necklace by Sahabji's brothers and sister-in-law. Later, he comes to know that Sahabji intentionly banished him so that he can do something better in life. Krishna moves to Mumbai and meets a man (airport) and become friends. He works hard, becomes a superstar and returns to find his Sahabji and teaches a good lesson to Dhanraj (sets fire in Dhanraj mills) and buys the mansion. He also teaches a nice lesson to Sahabji's cheater brothers by committing fraud in business with them (as they did not know that their partner was krishna because they never saw him). Later, Krishna buys Sahabji's former bungalow. He finds Sahabji and Jyoti in a pitiable condition. He brings them back to the bungalow. Sahabji's brothers realise their mistake. Krishna forgives them and brings them back to the bungalow. The brothers ask for forgiveness from Sahabji. At this point, Sahabji suffers from heart attack. He forgives his brothers. He also approves Jyoti and Krishna's relationship and tells them to marry. Later, Sahabji dies leaving his family.

The film is based on Raj (Govinda) who has a girlfriend, supermodel Dolly (Lara Dutta), and a wife, Kiran (Sushmita Sen). Raj fires Mangu (Rajpal Yadav), a cook, because of attempting to seduce the female staff. To take revenge, Mangu takes a picture of Raj with Dolly and gives it to Kiran. Kiran gets suspicious but then Raj says that Dolly is not his girlfriend. He says that there are three people in the picture, Raj, Dolly and Govardhan (Ritesh Deshmukh).
