The film, a remake of Marathi film Navra Maza Navsacha (2004), is directed and written by Bollywood actor - director Sachin who directed the original too and features soundtrack from Gurukiran.
Released on 16 March 2007, the film met with average and critical response at the box-office.

Ramesh (Ramesh Arvind) and Ganga (Soundarya) are married couple who recently move into Mysore to buy an ancient palace, against the wishes of his uncles and elders (Dwarakish & Pramila Joshai) of the family. Jayram is a struggling actor who is slated for greatness or at least his sister Jaywanti thinks so. Her husband Manohar is a lawyer and also a fraud. Sathya has come up in life the hard way as he lost his mother when he was a small boy and his father was framed and arrested on criminal charges. Sathya, unaware of his father's innocence, takes custody of his five young sisters. Sathya's father Bhadra was cheated by his brother-in-law who poisons his sister's mind to leave her husband, but she commits suicide later and her son Sathya is left with his five sisters. Sathya take care of his sisters well and educates them, but they are under his strict control and any person who plays foul with them faces his wrath, but he finds himself in trouble because of this tough character. Meanwhile, Sathya's father is released from prison and now wants to take revenge on his brother-in-law but the latter joins hands with some villains who want to settle scores with Bhadra and his son. They hatch a plan to a create rift in Sathya's family and surprising everyone succeeds as well. Will Sathya reunite his family again, and prove his father's innocence form the climax.

Dhananjay Mane (Ashok Saraf) is a street-smart salesperson in a cosmetic store owned by Madhuri (Ashwini Bhave) in Pune. He lives as a tenant of a stingy landlord Vishwas Sarpotdar (Sudhir Joshi). He is soon joined by his younger brother Shantanu (Siddharth Ray) who is a Medical student. Though prohibited by the landlord, Dhananjay and Shantanu allow their friends Parshuram (Laxmikant Berde) and Sudhir (Sachin Pilgaonkar), who have come to Pune in search of jobs, to secretly live with them. One night, Dhananjay, Parshuram and Sudhir insult their landlord while drunk and are taken away by Shantanu, who arrives at the scene a little too late. Enraged by this harassment, Vishwas Sarpotdar orders them to vacate the place.
