Nammoora Mandara Hoove (Kannada: ನಮ್ಮೂರ ಮಂದಾರ ಹೂವೆ) is a 1997 Indian Kannada language film directed by Sunil Kumar Desai starring Shivrajkumar, Ramesh, Prema in the lead roles. The film received two awards at the 1996-97 Karnataka State Film Awards; Best Child Actor - Male (Master Vinayak Joshi) and Best Female Playback Singer (K. S. Chithra).

The film was considered a landmark in the career of its lead actors. It was a huge success at the box-office. Following a 22-week run in Bangalore, it was screened in a few screens in the United States. The film was remade in Tamil language as Kangalin Vaarthaigal.

Synopsis

Shivrajkumar comes to Ramesh's (his close friend), home town and falls in love with the girl whom Ramesh loves (Prema).

The story opens with a kidnapping of an architect (Avinash) at night. He is whisked away to a secluded location where he is tortured by unknown assailants for information regarding the structural details of a bank which he helped build. When the torture reaches excruciating levels, the architect gives in and shares the confidential details of the security alarms and safety devices in the bank. It is shown that the leader of the group called Dev (B. C. Patil) is a terrorist and will stop at nothing to get the bank's money to further his group's operations. It is also shown that he commands a strong team of at least 20 deadly terrorists.

Samarth returns from Switzerland to India and eventually gets appointed as a bodyguard to famous actress Maya. He wins over the confidence of Maya and Phalguni along with their family. His real purpose of visit to India is to trace the psychiatrist killer of his brother and thinks that Maya has some special relationship with the killer. He manages to almost convince her that she might be the killer of his brother when a don Kishore who is after Maya kidnaps her and keep her in a remote place. Meanwhile, her friend Ananth who is aware of this entire incident is also abducted. Then enters a specially appointed DCP Vishnu who interrogates everyone involved in this case.
