Seagal plays Mason Storm, a detective who falls into a coma after being shot during a fire-fight that killed his wife. Reawakening seven years later, Storm embarks on a journey to avenge the death of his wife, and expose the corruption of Senator Vernon Trent.
Synopsis
In 1983, Mason Storm, a Los Angeles police detective, investigates a mob meeting that takes place by a pier. He records a shadowy figure who assures the mob they can rely on his political support. Storm is spotted, but escapes. Unaware he is monitored by corrupt cops, Mason informs his partner and then his friend Lt. O'Malley he has evidence of corruption. While he shops, a store is robbed, and one of the robbers shoots the clerk. Mason stops them and goes home, intent on celebrating with his wife, Felicia.Actors

Chicago DEA agent John Hatcher returns from Colombia, where drug dealers killed his partner Chico. As a result of Chico's death and years of dead end work, John retires and heads to his family's home in suburban Chicago. John and his army buddy Max reunite and celebrate at a bar. A gunfight breaks out between local drug dealers and a Jamaican gang called the Jamaican Posse, whose leader is a drug kingpin known as Screwface. John arrests one of Screwface's henchmen as the gunfight ends. The next day, Screwface shoots up the house where John, his sister Melissa, and Melissa's 12-year-old daughter Tracey live. John Nguyen is a veteran suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder. Despite his status as a war hero, he's had difficulty adjusting to civilian life. When he hears a woman scream, he investigates and gets into a fight with several Aryan Nation thugs who are hassling Tanya, a prostitute in the service of local crime boss Hollis. Tanya is horrified when John kills all but one of the thugs; although thankful for his help, she says that John has doomed them both to die at Hollis' hands. Planning to flee the city, Tanya buys a bus ticket, but Hollis convinces her to stay by promising her that she can come off the streets and live with him again. Hollis directs his lieutenant Vin to murder John's family. Although reluctant, Vin complies. Enraged, John tracks down Bennett, a drug dealer, and strikes back at Hollis' meth business, brutally killing several of the men responsible for his family's death.

The assassination of Tokyo governor Takayama (Mac Yasuda) causes a stir of public outrage in Tokyo, Japan. Upon hearing the news of the incident, the FBI asks the CIA's Tokyo office to investigate the killing, believing it to be linked to the Yakuza, a dangerous Japanese mafia. After completing his training of ninjutsu within Japan as a Ninja, an Angolan Bush War veteran by the name of Cole (Franco Nero) visits his war buddy Frank Landers (Alex Courtney) and his newlywed wife Mary Ann Landers (Susan George), who are the owners of a large piece of farming land in the Philippines.
