Her Favourite Husband (also known by the alternative titles The Taming of Dorothy and Quel bandito sono io) is a 1950 British-Italian comedy film directed by Mario Soldati and starring Jean Kent, Robert Beatty and Margaret Rutherford. It was based on a play by Peppino De Filippo. The film's art direction was by Piero Gherardi.
Synopsis
Mild mannered Italian bank clerk Antonio, much dominated by his English wife Dorothy, is the double of Leo L'Americano, a local gangster. The gangster kidnaps Antonio and takes his place as husband in the family, to give him cover for a big bank robbery, which he plans to pin on Antonio. Farcical confusions ensue.Actors

Propriétaire d’un grand magasin, le commendatore "Fernandone", est obsédé par un cauchemar où il rencontre un jeune homme qu’il ne connait pas mais qu’il déteste profondément. Un jour, un certain Walter Milani, docteur en sciences économiques, vient le trouver à la recherche d’un emploi ; il est timide et il a le malheur de ressembler exactement à celui que le commendatore voit dans ses cauchemars. Dès que ce dernier l’aperçoit, il entre en rage et, tout en criant : « C’est lui, c’est lui !!! », il lui ordonne de s’en aller. Son médecin traitant, qui est en même temps son meilleur ami, se trouve au même moment dans son bureau et il lui conseille de regarder la réalité en face : qu’il garde cet homme avec lui dans le grand magasin, qu’il lui donne un travail et son cauchemar disparaitra.

Massimo Castaldi (Montagnani) is a social climber married to Violante (Marisa Mell), who comes from a rich family. His relationship with his mistress Laura (Cinzia De Ponti) is jeopardised when the family moves to its summer house on the Apulian coast of the Adriatic.
