Synopsis
4 years after the events of Aavanazhi, Balaram is now married to Seetha. They have a daughter and live a normal life. Seetha is then killed by Dulabribai's men, and Balram sends his daughter to be taken care of by nuns along with his partner Madhavan. Balram faces his enemies, including Indira Shankar and Sayed Mohammad Shah, and Preethi avenges her father's death.Actors

The story takes place in a hillside village, terrorised by the frequent attacks of a man-eating leopard. Tired of waiting for help from the authorities, the villagers under Reverend Father Panangodan (Thilakan) and Philipose Muthalali (Jagannatha Varma) decide to hire a hunter. The hunter whom they wanted had recently died, so his son Varunni (Mammootty) is summoned to the village. The uncultured life of Varunni soon became a headache for the village. The villagers try to avoid the drunkard hunter from their lives.

Vasu and Chacko are working as drivers and low ranking workers for the Abkari contractor Sreekandan. Sreekandan is heavily involved in the smuggling of liquor from the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu in order to increase the already high profits in his business. Venugopal (Mammootty), a rich young business man still considers Shivan as his mentor, who had helped him in his early days in Mumbai.At the time of his death, Shivan has asked Venu to take care of his younger brother Rajashekharan (Suresh Gopi), which Venu obeyed whole heartedly. Rajan was appointed as his manager and is treated more like his brother. On a visit to Rajan's house along with him, Venu meets Devi (Rupini). Venu expresses Rajan's sister about his wish to marry Devi, but changes his mind after realizing that she is already engaged to Rajan. Venu whole heartedly gets Rajan married to Devi. Rajan, in thirst to earn quick money, gets into bad company and severs ties with Venu. He becomes suspicious of his wife having an illicit relation with Venu. Slowly turning into too much of drinking and gambling, Rajan falls into huge debts and to make things worse, he also becomes a part of smuggling. Venu's efforts to save Rajan from his problems and bringing him back to normal life is the rest of the story.

The film opens with an illegal cockfighting competition held in a small village in central Kerala. Suddenly police enters in to the field and arrests Shivan (Mammootty), and Suku (Lalu Alex) for holding money betting. But on way, they are saved by village youths under Chellan (Bharath Gopi), a local goon, who is also a close buddy of Shivan. Both Chellan and Shivan share a strong friendship and are more like brothers. Shivan is in love with Chellan's younger sister (Seema) and Chellan and his mom have given green signal to it. Chandri ( Urvashi), the sister of Shivan, is his everything and his whole happiness revolves around her. Bhadran (Mohanlal), the younger brother of Chellan is too aggressive like him and picks up fight for every silly reasons. Its usually Shivan, who sorts out the fights that he picks up every day. Things are going very smoothy until one day Chandri gets pregnant. Chandri, in order to pacify Shivan reveals him that it is Chellan, who is responsible for this, whereas it was Thampi, her neighbor who was actually responsible. Shivan, in a sudden rage kills Chellan and surrenders at police station himself. Bhadran, but turns violent by this incident and vows to take revenge.
