Into the Spider’s Web is a 1988 American adventure film made for children. It was directed by Steve McCurdy, produced by Warren Chaney and stars Chuck Stockdale, Robert Shafer, Jessica Avery and Luis Lemus. The Executive Producer was Beverly Wilson and the film’s production company was Sandpiper Pictures. The screenplay was based upon the Christopher Brooke series of novels also written by Warren Chaney.
A ten-year-old boy genius invents a cognitively interactive communication device for the U.S. Military but is kidnapped by a shadowy organization and later rescued by a famous flying stunt pilot Brian Agnes.
The production was one of the first feature films shot in 3-D for later television broadcast using a technology new to television at the time.
The picture was shot on location in Houston and Dallas, Texas. Into the Spider’s Web completed filming in early 1998 and was released to theatres and later television in November 1988 by Intercontinental Releasing Corporation. After acquisition by Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer, the movie was re-released in 1996.
Synopsis
Christopher Brooke, portrayed by Robert Shafer is a ten-year-old boy genius who has invented a two-way telepathic device. The apparatus permits direct visual and thought communication between one wearing the device and another wearing the same mechanism. The second wearer experiences exactly what the first one experiences. The U.S. Military believes this to be a positive development for air defense and has scheduled an official test of the unit. Christopher and his friend, Misty Somers (Jessica Avery) attend as his pilot friend, ace air pilot Zach Taylor (Chuck Stockdale), helps with the Government analysis.Actors

Behind the Mask is an action-adventure thriller film, first released in six separate chapters and later as a film. The film's adversary, an unidentified masked entity known only as The Octopus, terrorizes a large American city. The Lamp’s introductory scenes suggest the film is a tall tale steeped in mythology and exaggerated mayhem that parody slasher films of the 1990s. The movie centers upon the brother and sister pair Tony and Tia, whose surname they initially know only as that of their deceased adoptive parents, Malone. When Batman (West) and Robin (Ward) get a tip that Commodore Schmidlapp (Reginald Denny) is in danger aboard his yacht, they launch a rescue mission using the batcopter. As Batman descends on the bat-ladder to land on the yacht it suddenly vanishes beneath him. He rises out of the sea with a shark attacking his leg. After Batman dislodges it with bat-shark repellant, the shark explodes. Having spent a good deal of time enjoying the company of their newfound family and friends at Witch Mountain and intensively studying and practicing their supernatural powers, Tony and his sister Tia are in need of a vacation. Uncle Bené drops them off in their flying saucer at the Rose Bowl stadium in Los Angeles, California, after which the siblings quickly become separated from each other. A man named Dr. Victor Gannon (Lee) and his assistant Letha Wedge (Davis) happen to see Tony using his powers to save their henchman from certain death. Realizing that Tony has supernatural powers, Dr. Gannon drugs the boy with a tranquilizer shot and takes him back to their laboratory. There, Dr. Gannon successfully tests a new mind-control technology on him. Under its influence, Tony is completely hypnotized and does everything that his kidnappers want him to do, like stealing gold from a museum exhibit and stopping Tia from finding them. With Tony at his robotic bidding, Dr. Gannon hopes to achieve recognition within the scientific community and worldwide power, while Letha merely wants a return on her investment.
