Jimmy is a Hindi thriller film directed by Raj N. Sippy and Introducing the son of Mithun Chakraborty, Mimoh Chakraborty. This was a Bollywood debut film of Mimoh Chakraborty with high expectations, but it was a box office failure.

Synopsis

In the this film, a young woman's boyfriend is recovered by the police. All leads point to Jimmy (Mimoh Chakraborty). A mechanical engineer by day and a dancing sensation by night, Jimmy works as a DJ in the local discothèque to pay off the debts left behind by his late father. While everybody is shocked, Jimmy owns up to the murder and is sentenced to death. Why would a young man on the threshold of life commit such a heinous crime? Only Jimmy knows the truth. In a sudden twist of fate, Jimmy realizes in jail that he has been drawn in to a vicious conspiracy. But it is too late... or is it? What follows is a spine-chilling suspense travesty that unfolds in this fast-paced saga of crime, deceit and murder.

Ajay Sharma (Dharmendra), is a Police Inspector of notable wealth. He is happily married to Asha (Rekha) with two children. Many a times he goes out of his work area to destructively capture dangerous criminals and inadvertently falls under disciplinary warning with his concerned superiors. After repeated warnings he is discharged from the Police force. He decides to go back to his boyhood town by joining his father (Madan Puri) in the family business. They are living happily. Past its grand opening, Ajay and his friend Albert (Jalal Agha) visit the casino and fall under a confrontation with the gamekeeper and management when they are cheated during the game. During the fight, Albert is killed and Ajay is seriously wounded.
