Joggers' Park is a 2003 Bollywood film made in English and Hindi. It is directed by Anant Balani and written by Subhash Ghai. It stars Bengali actor Victor Bannerjee, Perizaad Zorabian and Divya Dutta in lead roles. It was filmed on location in Mumbai's Jogger's Park. It was inspired from the storyline of 1986 film Anokha Rishta starring Rajesh Khanna.

The film released in 2003 and did well at the box office, opening the way for a new genre of films like Mumbai Matinee and Morning Raga.

Synopsis

The film opens at a Rotary Club function to honour the recently retired Justice Jyotin Chatterjee. The judge has served the profession all his life with honour and spotless integrity. As he is about to retire, he recognises there will now be a void in his life. His wife remarks to reporters that neither he nor she knows what he would do after he retires.

Debu (Rahul Bose) is a 32-year-old advertising agent, but has a serious problem in that he is still a virgin. He meets Baba Hindustani (Vijay Raaz) in a hotel who promises to cure him of the teasing he gets from being a virgin. He later meets Nitin Kapoor, a film-maker (Saurabh Shukla) who later films him as he works out in the gym and other physical activities. Unaware of what is happening, Kapoor edits the film in such a way to give the impression of Debu as having sex. The film is released and becomes a box office hit and Debu quickly becomes a sex symbol. He later meets Sonali Verma (Perizaad Zorabian), a journalist, who helps him through his difficulties and they later fall in love.

The film revolves around a father-girl-guy relationship. Sameera Dutta (Nandita Das) is the wild daughter who comes into conflict with her father when she meets Viren (Rahul Bose). Sameera believes she has found true love, but it happens that Viren has a serious gambling problem and owes Rs. 2 million to a casino owner, Patel (Vineet Kumar). Viren seeks Sameera's help and in desperation and out of resentment for her father she threatens to reveal to her mother that he has a mistress who is pregnant with his child. When her father fails to give her the money, she places a revolver to his head. Her father not only informs the police, but he also hires a hitman to kill his daughter. Meanwhile, a strike cripples the city so Sameera must make her way on foot to the drop-off location to pay off Patel and save Viren's life. After narrowly escaping both the police and her father's hired hitman, Sameera reaches the drop-off.
