Patthar Ke Phool (English: Flowers of Stone) is a 1991 Bollywood film starring Salman Khan who plays a police officer fighting an underworld gang. Raveena Tandon plays the female lead role while Vinod Mehra, Kiran Kumar, Reema Lagoo and Manohar Singh appear in supporting roles.
Synopsis
Kiran is the only child of a gangster father. She was brought up in such a way that she does not know of her father's unlawful habits. Kiran runs into one of the Police Inspector's son Suraj, they both fall in love. When Kiran's father finds out that his child is in love with an honest police officer's son, who has been assigned to find him, he is shocked, but decides to give up all his unlawful activities for his daughter's future. However, his own goons not liking this, kill the honest police officer and frame Kiran's father. Now Suraj joins the police department and gets things done in his manner.Actors

Debu (Rahul Bose) is a 32-year-old advertising agent, but has a serious problem in that he is still a virgin. He meets Baba Hindustani (Vijay Raaz) in a hotel who promises to cure him of the teasing he gets from being a virgin. He later meets Nitin Kapoor, a film-maker (Saurabh Shukla) who later films him as he works out in the gym and other physical activities. Unaware of what is happening, Kapoor edits the film in such a way to give the impression of Debu as having sex. The film is released and becomes a box office hit and Debu quickly becomes a sex symbol. He later meets Sonali Verma (Perizaad Zorabian), a journalist, who helps him through his difficulties and they later fall in love.

Kailash Nath is the manager of a bank who lives a comfortable lifestyle with his wife, Savitri, and son, Kishan. He is friendly with the Bank Watchman, Shankar Dayal Khurana, so much so that he arranges the engagement of Kishan with Shankar's daughter, Sanam. Shortly after the engagement, the bank is robbed. Kailash becomes a suspect, is arrested, charged, and sentenced to 12 years in prison. After he completes his sentence he returns home to find that Savitri and Kishan are not traceable. He also finds out that he was framed for the bank robbery by none other than Shankar, who is now the Mayor of this town. In the meantime, Kishan, now grown up, goes to take Sanam home with him as his bride. When she refuses to do so, he forcibly takes her. Kishan is not aware that Sanam is to be married to Pradeep, the only son of millionaire Lalla. Sanam intends to publicly humiliate Kishan and Savitri prior to her marriage with Pradeep due to their poverty.

The film revolves around a father-girl-guy relationship. Sameera Dutta (Nandita Das) is the wild daughter who comes into conflict with her father when she meets Viren (Rahul Bose). Sameera believes she has found true love, but it happens that Viren has a serious gambling problem and owes Rs. 2 million to a casino owner, Patel (Vineet Kumar). Viren seeks Sameera's help and in desperation and out of resentment for her father she threatens to reveal to her mother that he has a mistress who is pregnant with his child. When her father fails to give her the money, she places a revolver to his head. Her father not only informs the police, but he also hires a hitman to kill his daughter. The story, based on an idea from Salman Khan, centres on Saajan, the son of a colonel in the Indian army, and Kaajal, a modest girl from "a respectable family." The film opens with Saajan travelling in a bus, when he catches a glimpse of Kaajal on another bus, and they are both smitten. They do not formally meet and, since Saajan is off to start at college, he does not think he will ever see her again. But his new friends at college, Buddha, Tempo and Refill, one night insist on visiting a brothel in a seedier part of Bombay. Saajan only reluctantly agrees, but ultimately refuses to select a prostitute — until he hears a new girl being beaten by her pimp and decides to protect her. To his surprise, it is Kaajal (called Paro at the brothel), who has been kidnapped by a pimp after she was tricked by a job offer in Bombay.

Aman (Sanjay Dutt) is an impoverished, lame orphan who is befriended by wealthy Akash Verma (Salman Khan) during his childhood. Akash's parents adopt Aman and give him their family name, so Akash and Aman grow up as brothers. While Akash is a womaniser, Aman takes to writing poems under the pen name Sagar. The poems get published, and Aman becomes very popular. One of his fans is a young woman by the name of Pooja Saxena (Madhuri Dixit), who corresponds with Sagar. Akash meets Pooja and falls head over heels in love with her. When Aman comes to know of this, he asks Akash to pose as Sagar, which he does, then Pooja and Akash fall in love with each other. A heartbroken Aman looks on, as he knows that although women may like his poetry, they will never come out openly and love him when they see his handicap. Akash discovers that Aman loves Pooja and that he is actually Sagar, through a string of events triggered by a Pankaj Udhas show. Akash confronts Aman with this and Aman admits that he loves Pooja. Pooja witnesses this encounter and becomes upset with both Akash and Aman. Akash convinces Pooja and she eventually ends up accepting Aman.
