Sophia (Sumalatha) has not been home since a rift with her parents over her marriage to Josekutty (Devan). Sophia's father Ittichan (Nedumudi Venu) and ailing mother(Kaviyoor Ponnamma) request Unnikrishan (Jayaram), a close friend, to find Sophia and bring her home to them. Unnikrishnan promises the parents that he will bring Sophia home by Christmas. With the help of his old schoolmate, Parasuraman (Suresh Gopi), Unnikrishnan finds Sophia. Sophia, who is working in a hotel owned by Paul Kallookkaran (Sukumaran), claims not to know Unnikrishnan, who is also met with hostility by Paul. Unnikrishan persists, and learns that Josekutty is dead and Sophia is trapped in a dire situation. She is pretending not to know Unnikrishnan in order to protect him and herself. Unnikrishan tries to help Sophia escape, but tragedy ensues.

Balakrishnan (Mukesh) is a heart patient. He urgently needs a heart transplant and luckily he gets the heart of Aby Mathew (Jayaram) who was dead a few moments ago. After the operation, Balakrishnan discovers that he can see Aby Mathew while nobody else can. Aby Mathew is now a ghost and he wants to bring his killers in front of the law. He takes Balakrishnan's help and start investigating. At first, nobody is ready to believe Balakrishnan as no one believes in ghosts. The rest of the plot is Balakrishnan's attempt to save them.

Akbar (Dileep) is happily married to Raziya (Meera Jasmine). Akbar goes to the Persian Gulf for employment. There he befriends Raghu Rama Iyer (Vineeth) and John Kuruvilla (Biju Menon).
