Synopsis
Vijay (Nagarjuna), an unemployed guy suffering with family problems, Rani Malini alias Arunabai (Jaya Sudha) a kothi dancer appoints him as a spy against Naga Raja Varma (Rao Gopala Rao) a Zamindar of an estate. Vijay goes to his estate and gets a job, Naga Raja Varma's daughter Rekha (Khusboo) and Naga Raja Varma's henchman Koti's (Sreedhar) daughter Lata (Amala Akkineni) loves Vijay but Vijay loves Lata. One day Vijay comes to know the truth that Naga Raja Varma's younger brother Krishna Raja Varma (Krishnam Raju) is Malini's husband who was killed by Naga Raja Varma and Vijay's father Satyam (Murali Mohan) is trapped in the case and Lata is Malini's daughter and rest of the story goes on how Vijay defeats Naga Raja Varma in the climax.Actors

Ravi Teja (Chiranjeevi) is an industrialist, who owns a textile company. He is a successful person in business but his personal life lacks harmony and peace. Tortured by his wife Madhavi and her mother, he finds life miserable. He will slowly fall for his beautiful Personal Assistant Priyamvada Bhanupriya. Meanwhile, his opponents cannot digest his success in business and plan to stop him from getting yet another business deal. Here, he meets Nagaraju (Chiranjeevi), who is a small-time thief. Ravi Teja is saved by Nagaraju and he plans to exchange their positions, so that his problems can be solved forever. Nagaraju agrees, and teaches madhavi, her mother, and Ravi Teja's enemies a lesson. Ravi Teja faces a strange situation of leading a thief's lifestyle. He encounters Radhika, who is also a small time thief. In the end, they both reveal their true identities and end the story on a happy note.

Akkineni Nagarjuna is a graduate in law. He and Juhi Chawla are both in love with each other. Ravi (Chiranjeevi) is the son of a sincere Police officer (Satyanarayana). Ravi accidentally hurts his neighbour's eyes and become responsible for his blindness. Fearing that his father would scold him, he runs away from home and is brought up by a don in Calcutta, who names him Kalidas. The don dies in an encounter and Kali is asked to leave the world of crime and become a good citizen. Kalidas changes his name to Raja and while traveling in a train saves his father, later realising their relationship. Because of his criminal background he does not reveal that he is his son. Satyanarayana takes him to his house and introduces Raja to his family members. His father is to face the local goons headed by Rao Gopala Rao. In the mean time he meets Radha and came to realise that she is the daughter of the person who became blind because of him. Raja helps her in having her father's eyesight returned and wins her heart.

Veerabhadraiah (Raogopal Rao) is a feudal lord presiding over a village along with his hench men which includes his assistant (Rallapalli) and the village sarpanch (Nutan Prasad). Veerabhadraiah lends money to Venkateswarlu (P. L. Narayana) who is a local farmer living with his widowed daughter (Sangeetha). His son, Sooryam (Chiranjeevi) is a hard working student living in the nearby city and falls in love with Veerabhadraiah's daughter- Madhulatha (Madhavi). Realising this Veerabhadraiah asks Venkateswarlu to ask his son to stop seeing his daughter to which Venkateswarlu does not agree. Veerabhadraiah kills Venkateswarlu and asks Sooryam to pay the money which he had given as a loan. Sooryam asks for some time and with the help of his elder sister raises crops to repay. Just as the crops are ready for harvest Veerabhadraiah and his hench men not only destroy the crop but also try to sexually abuse Sooryam's sister during which she commits suicide. Being the village head, Veerabhadraiah implicates Sooryam in the death of his sister saying that he was forcing her into prostitution due to which his sister commits suicide. Sooryam is arrested by the Police. The rest of the movie deals with how Sooryam escapes from jail and with the help of Dr. Sujatha (Sumalatha) avenges the decimation of his family.
