Lion is a 2015 Telugu film produced by Rudrapati Ramana Rao under SLV cinema banner, directed by Satyadev. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Trisha Krishnan, Radhika Apte in the lead roles. Music is handled by Mani Sharma. The movie is first debut to director Satyadev. A first look teaser of the movie was released on 31 December 2014 on the occasion of new year. The audio released on 8 April 2015, and the film released on 14 May 2015. The film received mixed reviews from critics.
Synopsis
The film opens in a hospital at Mumbai, where Bose (Nandamuri Balakrishna) coming back to life after staying in a coma for eighteen months. As soon as he recovers, Bose is identified as Godse by everyone around him and he is surprised when an elderly couple, (Chandra Mohan & Jaya Sudha), claim to be his parents. Bose keeps convincing all of them that he is not Godse and has his own story. Soon, he comes to Hyderabad in search of his true identity and he bumps into Mahalakshmi (Trisha), who he believes is his lover. When she tells him that it's a case of mistaken identity, Godse is taken aback and he meets a similar fate when he meets his parents (Chalapathi Rao & Geetha) as well. Suddenly a girl Sarayu (Radhika Apte) arrives as Godse's wife a tries him to remember their marriage life, which makes a lot of confusion. Later Godse finds out that it was all a ruse set up by the Bharadwaja (Prakash Raj) and his real name is Bose. The rest of this movie deals with why the CM wanted Bose alive and why did he set up him with a new identity? Bose, a sincere and powerful CBI Officer on a mission to crack the suspicious death of former Chief Minister of State Achyuta Ramayya (Vijay Kumar). Bose learns that influential person, sitting CM Bharadwaj is behind the death of former CM and tries to prove him of guilty. Which forms the rest are the obstacles created by Bharadwaj and how Bose overcome them.Actors

The film begins with the ISI moles scheming to destabilize India right in the opening shot, followed by their devastating bomb blasts in Coimbatore and Hyderabad. Basha (Mukesh Rishi) an ISI Agent enters to India to plan various bomb blasts at various places. Anand (Jagapati Babu) a regular bank employ, through a case of mistaken identity by police and so, he comes out unscathed and exposes the nefarious ISI network. A police officer in the special branch, Bhaskar Chenmai alias Bachi (Jagapathi Babu) one day receives a boy Habibi (Master Teja) in a courier from Dubai. Claiming that his mother had told him that Jagapati Babu is his father, the boy starts addressing him father. The uncomfortable Bachi tries various methods to get rid of the boy, but his ways serve only to get him drawn towards the boy and become friends ultimately. Meanwhile, Bachi falls in love with Venkata Lakshmi (Neelambari) who gets annoyed at seeing the boy in Bachi's house. The former manages to convince the fuming Venkata Lakshmi that the boy is not his son and so the matter ends there although it crops up now and then in their discussions. Meanwhile, Bachi is the chief security officer for Tatineni Koteswara Rao (Prakash Raj), the Rs 50-crore winner of the Paris lottery. But Bachi's search for the boy continues and he manages to nail the father by his name, Bachi (Prthuvi Raj) and arrests him.

Venkatadri (Venkatesh) is a tough bodyguard who is assigned to protect the family of Varadarajula Naidu (Prakash Raj). Keerthi (Trisha Krishnan) is the college going daughter of Naidu and Venkatadri accompanies her to the college to keep a watch. At one point, Keerthi too feels herself becoming attracted to Venkatadri and expresses her desire to meet him in person. However due to circumstances they are not able to accomplish this until at the climax when she tells Venkatadri to meet at a railway station and elope with her. Munna (Prabhas) is a college student. His aim is to finish off mafia don Kakha (Prakash Raj) who keeps the entire city under his grip. Munna has a personal vengeance to take on Kakha. An honest politician Srinivasa Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao) relentlessly works to expose Kakha but is killed. Meanwhile, Munna's classmate Nidhi (Ileana D'Cruz) falls in love with him. The twist in the tale is that Kakha is none other than his estranged father who tries to sell off his mother and was responsible for the death of his mother and his young sister. Another don in the city named Aatma (Rahul Dev), who is the opposition of Kakha asks Munna to join him but Munna refuses his proposal. Munna starts to beat Kakha and the mind game begins. Kakha's second wife, son and daughter leave him and join Munna. After some incidents including the death of his best friend, Munna finds out that Aatma was working for Kakha all along. The two of them plan on killing him in a factory when all of a sudden Aatma turns against Kakha and Munna. Kakha kills Aatma for the betrayal. Having lost everything Kakha worked for in his life, he commits suicide. Thereby, Munna succeeds in taking revenge against Kakha.

Baldev Sahay (Ravi Teja) is shown to be a corrupt yet valiant police officer working as an Assistant Commissioner of police in Kolkata. Rama Chandra becomes the hero of the village.

Lakshmi Narasimha (Balakrishna) is a strict police officer who does not mind making his own rules to bring justice to the public. Once, he was indirectly affected by the goon Dharma Bhiksham (Prakash Rai) which costs him his sister and lots of properties of his native village. But Dharma Bhiksham does not know that it was Lakshmi Narasimha who got affected by him. After a few months, Lakshmi Narasimha is transferred to Vijayawada. Dharma Bhiksham rules the mafia world from Vijayawada. Though, a strict police officer - he compromises with Dharma Bhiksham and takes bribes to the tune of one and half crores. He takes the bribes and then invests all the money into rehabilitating his native village affected by Dharma Bhiksham. Dharma Bhiksham comes to know about it and rebels against Lakshmi Narasimha. The rest of the story is all about how Lakshmi Narasimha puts an end to the life of Dharma Bhiksham using illegal methods.
