Two hitmen drive to Eddie Macklin's house to assassinate him as he builds a brick wall in his backyard. Meanwhile, Eddie's brother Earl (Robert Duvall) is released from prison in Illinois after a 27-month term for carrying a concealed weapon. His girlfriend Bett (Karen Black) picks him up and takes him to a motel. She informs Earl of his brother's execution by the Outfit. Earl deduces that the motel stay is a setup, and when one of the hitmen who killed his brother bursts into the room, Earl ambushes him and tortures him for information.

Rikio Ishikawa, a member of the Kawada yakuza family in Shinjuku, assaults and steals money from the Aoki gang, members of the rival Shinwa family from Ikebukuro, for operating in their territory. Ishikawa then robs a Sangokujin gambling den with Imai, whom he had become friends with in prison and whom asks Ishikawa to join his gang, he stashes his gun with a geisha named Cheiko. Set in 1958, the coming-of-age story follows four Brooklyn teenagers known as The Lords of Flatbush. The Lords chase girls, steal cars, play pool and hang out at a local malt shop. The film focuses on Chico (Perry King) attempting to win over Jane (Susan Blakely), a girl who wants little to do with him, and Stanley (Sylvester Stallone), who impregnates his girlfriend, Frannie (Maria Smith), who pressures him to marry her. Naples, à la fin du XIXe siècle. Après un séjour en prison, le jeune Nicola Bellizzi s'installe dans un quartier misérable de la ville contrôlée par la Camorra. Pour le remercier, Gaetano lui propose de devenir son second dans la Camorra tout en continuant à étudier. Nicola accepte sa proposition et ils deviennent amis. Mais, peu à peu, Nicola est dégoûté par les méthodes employées de la mafia. Alors qu'il prend parti pour les pauvres, Nicola tente de rester l'ami de Gaetano. Roch Siffredi, chef de gang très en vue à Marseille, vient d'ouvrir un établissement somptueux qui lui promettrait des jours heureux dans cette ville, s'il ne venait d'enterrer son ami et associé François Capella à la fin du premier Borsalino. Il jure de le venger. Il apprend qu'un certain Giovanni Volpone, récemment arrivé à Marseille, est à l'origine du meurtre. Le commissaire Fanti passe voir Siffredi après la mort de Capella. Il constate la réussite du truand et admire le nouvel établissement : il a une certaine estime pour Roch, mais quand des évènements agitent le milieu, sa politique est de laisser les truands s'entretuer ! Il informe cependant Siffredi que Volpone est un homme dangereux : le gangster italien, semble avoir des ambitions sur la ville de Marseille; il a des moyens importants tant en hommes qu'en finance et des soutiens politiques efficaces dans la période qui précède la guerre. Volpone est en relation avec le fascisme international. Il a le projet de « nettoyer » la ville et d'en faire une base expérimentale pour préparer une ère nouvelle.

In fall 1963, the police crack down on yakuza activities nationwide due to public outcry and in preparation for the upcoming 1964 Summer Olympics. However, the war between the Yamamori family and Shinwa Group versus the Uchimoto, Hirono, and Akashi families wages on. Noburo Uchimoto, Shozo Hirono and Shinichi Iwai recruit Hidemitsu Kawada and Tomoji Okajima, the usually neutral leader of the Gisei Group, to their side. When Masakichi Makihara's men kill a member of Hirono's family he wants to go after Yamamori himself, however retired yakuza and Hirono's adviser Kenichi Okubo stops him. Akira Takeda threatened Okubo to keep Hirono in Kure, as Yamamori has fled to Hiroshima City while Makihara's men stay to fight Hirono's.
