Add to a movie listManslaughter (Danish: Drabet) is a 2005 Danish film written and directed by Per Fly. The film stars Jesper Christensen, Beate Bille and Pernilla August as well as Fly's wife Charlotte Fich.
Manslaughter won the Nordic Council Film Prize in 2005, multiple awards at the 2006 Bodil Awards — including Best Actor, Best Film and Best Supporting actress — as well as being nominated for several other major film awards. Beate Bille also received a Shooting Star Award at the 2006 Berlin International Film Festival for her role in the film.
The film is part of a trilogy by Fly about the Danish society. Bænken is about the underclass, Arven about the upperclass and Drabet about the middleclass.
Synopsis
Carsten est un professeur d'université marié et père de famille. Il entretient une liaison amoureuse avec une de ses anciennes étudiantes, Pil, dont le militantisme d'extrême gauche lui rappelle sa propre jeunesse. Lorsqu'elle est accusée d'avoir tué un policier, il abandonne famille et carrière pour la défendre.Actors

Jeune homme idéaliste, Michael Sullivan décroche l'emploi de ses rêves : il devient coordinateur de l'opération Pétrole contre nourriture, un programme visant à satisfaire les besoins humanitaires du peuple irakien après la guerre du Golfe. Mais Sullivan découvre que derrière cette opération humanitaire se cache une conspiration au plus haut niveau. Silvia Broome (Nicole Kidman) is an interpreter working at the United Nations in New York City. She was raised in the Republic of Matobo, a fictional African country, but has dual citizenship. 2003. Les Etats-Unis et l'Angleterre s'apprêtent à intervenir en Irak car l’administration Bush prétexte, sans preuve plausible, que Saddam Hussein détient des armes de destruction massive. Employée des renseignements britanniques, au sein du Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), Katharine Gun reçoit dans ses courriels un mémo secret indiquant que les États-Unis sollicitent l'aide de la Grande-Bretagne pour rassembler des informations compromettantes sur certains délégués du Conseil de l'ONU afin de les obliger à voter en faveur de l'invasion. S'ils votent contre, elles seront divulguées publiquement. Stupéfaite, Gun hésite à révéler la machination liée à cette intervention illégale. Malgré tout, elle envoie anonymement le mémo à la presse afin de tenter d'empêcher la guerre qui s'annonce inutile et aux conséquences désastreuses. Mais, en choisissant d'exposer cette vaste conspiration politique, la lanceuse d'alerte met en danger sa vie, son couple, sa liberté et son sens du patriotisme. Car sa décision est considérée comme une trahison aux yeux des services secrets britanniques.
