It stars Feng Xiaogang, Li Yifeng, Zhang Hanyu, Kris Wu,and Xu Qing. The film closed the 72nd Venice International Film Festival in an out-of-competition screening. Main cast member Feng Xiaogang and Li Yifeng are scheduled to attend the festival on Sept 12, 2015. Mr. Six was selected to be screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. Mr. Six is scheduled to be released on December 24, 2015 in China.
Synopsis
Mr. Six tells of an old 50-something-year-old street punk called “Lao Pao Er” who has reigned over the Beijing streets as the neighbourhood kingpin for many years. One day, when his mischievous son causes a dispute against a much younger drag-racing street gang leader, he steps up to help defend him. “Lao Pao Er” then discovers that the younger generation of gang members have already named this drag racer as his successor, and he no longer holds any ground in the street scene.Actors

Le moine Tang Sanzang (Kris Wu) arrive dans une ville en Inde, précédé de sa réputation. Son maître le félicite d'être arrivé jusqu'en Inde et d'avoir retrouver les Sutras, et lui donne une auréole en récompense. Cette auréole, cependant, fonctionne mal et Tang se réveille dans un village d'artistes de cirque avec ses trois disciples : Sun Wukong (Lin Gengxin ), Zhu Bajie (Yang Yiwei), et Sha Wujing (Mengke Bateer). Tang encourage Sun Wukong à se produire devant les villageois, mais celui-ci refuse. Insistant, il énerve Sun Wukong en l'insultant de « mauvais singe » et ce-dernier se met à ravager le village. Les villageois terrifiés offrent alors au groupe de l'argent et de la nourriture pour continuer leur voyage, mais Sun Wukong continue de faire des ravages, propulsant Zhu Bajie et Tang dans les airs. Le soir venu, Tang fouette Sun Wukong pour sa désobéissance.

The film is set in Beijing during the Cultural Revolution. It is told from the perspective of Ma Xiaojun nicknamed Monkey (played by Xia Yu; some of Monkey's experiences mimic director Jiang's during the Revolution), who is a teenage boy at the time. Monkey and his friends are free to roam the streets of Beijing day and night because the Cultural Revolution has caused their parents and most adults to be either busy or away and school system was extremely nonfunctional during the Cultural Revolution. Jiang Wen cryptically suggested that famous movement during the Cultural revolution that most elder young people were sent to the countryside. China was actively preparing for military due to the Vietnam War and claiming USSR to be revisionism. Since monkey and his friends were military children, their parents were off for military purposes. Most of the story happens during one summer, so the main characters are even more free because there is no school. The events of that summer revolves around Monkey's dalliances with his roguish male friends, and his subsequent angst-filled crush with one of the female characters, Mi Lan (Ning Jing). However, Mi Lan falls in love with monkey's friend, Liu Yiku.
