The film deals with a peculiar narrative, the life of John (Adolfo Jimenez Castro). A wealthy householder who, with his wife Natalia (Nathalia Acevedo) and their two young sons Eleazar (Eleazar Reygadas) and Ruth (Ruth Reygadas), decide to change the life of the city for the plain and simple country life. Starting again with an ostentatious house (a comparison of the few neighbors who live there) begin to enjoy the momentary taste of rural life seems to evoke. Thus, the gradient taste that prevailed at the beginning, begins to crumble for marriage. The children, on the other hand, nothing cumbersome and enjoy perfect life offered by this bleak place. The character of John begins to have contact with the people who live in the same direction. Seven (Willebaldo Torres), a man who usually do everything in their power to survive leads him to meet Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are taken into a ramshackle cabin in the woods. The film takes us into the hands of the most intimate problems that each of the people shrinks, not to feed a superficial argument, but each character is interfered in the problems affecting the daily life of a rural culture.
