Panthaya Kozhi is a Malayalam movie produced by Lal under the banner of Lal Creations. It is directed by M.A.Venu, who last did the critically acclaimed Chakoram in 1994. Narain pairs up with Pooja for the first time. Through this movie he's launched as a full-fledged action hero. Narain plays Bharathan, who comes to Kalimuthupalayam in Tamil Nadu to sell a house and some property, while Pooja plays Chembakam, a Tamil girl who falls in love with him. Actress Geetha plays Narain's mother in the film. Telugu actor Rami Reddy appears as villain Nachappa gounder, the landlord and don of the Kalimuthupalayam village.
The movie has five songs penned by Vayalar Sharatchandra Varma and Alex Paul team. Venugopal handles camera for the film. The story is by M A Venu and screenplay by J Pallasseri.
Synopsis
Nandagopal (Narain ) lives with his mother (Geetha) and mute sister Maya (Remya Nambeeshan) at the mercy of his uncle (Janaradhanan). They come to know their late father (Lal) bought a bungalow in Kalimuthupalayam, Tamil Nadu. Nandagopal go there to sell the property in order to get over their financial difficulties. But it's not easy to sell the bungalow because Nachiappa Gounder (Rami Reddy), the villain, refuses to vacate the house. In the meanwhile the Nandu falls in love with Chembakam (Pooja). This matter creates other problems. Nandu's friends decide to bring his mother and sister to stay in the house. When his mother comes and sees the house, she is shocked. For there is a story from the past that she remembers and that Nandagopal doesn't know. Finally Nandhu comes to know that all this cruelty of Gounder towards his family was only a part of enmity that roots back in the past. The rest of the movie is about how Nandagopal confronts with the Nachiappa Gounder. The rest of the film is based on these eventsActors

The film narrates the incidents in the life of a gynaecologist and five women who come into his life each with unconventional/illegitimate pregnancies. Lal acts as the gynaecologist and Asha Sharreth does the role of doctor's wife. Sanusha plays the role of an eighteen-year-old girl who refuses to abort her child and reveal the child's father. In the end, she gives her baby to the gynaecologist and his wife who don't have children of their own. After some months, she visits the doctor's house and leaves him a book. And from reading one of the story in the book that she specially marked he figures out that she bore the child of her father. Rima's character is a nurse, while Geetha plays an elderly woman who gets pregnant through artificial insemination. Aju Varghese appears as Ajmal who has strong feelings for Fatima. However, due to their height difference, he is unable to confide his love for her. Sandra Thomas plays the role of another expectant woman who bears her boyfriend's child which she wants to conceive only if her husband dies and Joy Mathew acts as her husband.

The plot revolves around the early days of the Communist Party in Kerala. Three Comrades, Nettoor Stephen (Mohanlal), T.K. Antony (Murali) and Sethulakshmi (Geetha) work tirelessly to empower the daily wage laborers and other proletarians of their village, to end the reign of feudal landlords, in the days when Communism was illegal to practice. Balram (Mammootty), popularly known as Karadi (Bear) is an honest Circle Inspector. Frustrated in his life after several personal setbacks, including a failed affair of the heart, Balram has turned to drinking and womanizing. Balram is assigned to nab Satyaraj (Captain Raju), who evaded the clutches of the police after murdering Chackochan (Paravoor Bharathan), a contractor. Balram successfully arrests him, but in court, Satyaraj is represented by Advocate Jayachandran (Sukumaran). Satyraj is acquitted by court, but Balram decides to frame in several other criminal charges pending against him. Usha (Nalini), Balram's ex-lover is now married to Jayachandran, who is now involved in several illegal business ventures. Balram falls in love with Seetha (Geetha), a prostitute, whom he decides to marry. Meanwhile, Radha (Seema), a young lady is determined to avenge herself on Balram, who she believes to have killed her brother while in police custody. But in reality, it was a handwork of Satyaraj, on instruction from Vincent (Janardanan). Falsely implicated, Balram had been suspended from police for a couple of years, but has been reinstated. Though Seetha tried to convince Radha of the truth, she is not ready to accept it. To gain her revenge over Balram, Radha decides to offer Satyaraj a safe stay away from the police eyes. Balram's open fight with Satyaraj and his "outside the law" dealing with him forms the rest of the story.
