Pelli Naati Pramanalu or Pellinati Pramanalu (Telugu: పెళ్లినాటి ప్రమాణాలు) is a 1958 Telugu drama film directed and co-produced by Kadiri Venkata Reddy.The film was made simultaneously with Tamil as Vaazhkai Oppandham (Tamil: வாழ்க்கை ஒப்பந்தம்) and released in 1959.

It is a musical hit film with lyrics by Pingali Nagendra Rao and music score by Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao. There is a patriotic song Sreemanturalivai Cheluvondu Maata Mammu Deevimpuma Maa Andhramata by P. Leela is memorable song. It was remade in 2001 as Sardukupodaam Randi directed by S.V. Krishna Reddy starring Jagapati Babu, Soundarya, Asha Saini.

Synopsis

Bheemasena Rao (SV Rangarao) is a dignified and respectful man. His son (R. Nageswara Rao) works in Military services. His daughter is Rukmini (Jamuna). His close friend and relative Salahala Rao (Ramana Reddy) is trying to arrange marriage to his daughter. Krishna Rao (Akkineni) is his relative of Salahala Rao. He was sent to meet Bheemasena Rao with recommendation letter. During the meantime he attracts Rukmini with his good manners. Bheemasena Rao arranged marriage between Krishna Rao and Rukmini and a political leader takes Marriage Vows (Pellinati Pramanalu) from them that they should not cheat each other.

Subhadra (the sister of Balarama and Krishna) marries a Pandava named Arjuna, and their son Abhimanyu falls in love with Balarama's daughter, Sasirekha. The families decide to marry them when they reach adulthood. By the time Abhimanyu and Sasirekha grow up, the Pandavas have lost a dice game to the Kauravas due to Sakuni's manipulation. Krishna, furious at an action of Dussasana that has insulted Draupadi, saves Draupadi. Balarama teaches the Kauravas a lesson and later reaches Hastinapuram. Sakuni and Duryodhana respect Balarama; after manipulating him, they seek his favour by requesting that Sasirekha be married to Duryodhana's son Lakshmana Kumara. They intend to force Balarama and Krishna to support them if the Pandavas wage war after their fourteen-year exile. Unaware of this, Balarama accepts.

The queen of Ujjain is keen for her daughter Indumathi (alias Indu) to marry her brother Surasena, a timid and mentally unstable person. When the gardener's son 'Thota' Ramudu beats Surasena at a concert for irritating the common people, he is summoned by the king to the court. His boldness leaves a considerable impression, but when Ramudu declares his love for Indu a day before his death sentence for meeting Indu secretly, the king is reminded of the astrologers' prediction that only a brave man can save her from a wicked sorcerer. He then challenges Ramudu to amass wealth equal to that of his in order to marry Indu, to which Ramudu agrees. He is released from prison.
