Pelli Peetalu (English: Wedding Seats) is a 1998 Telugu romantic comedy produced by V. B. Rajendra Prasad on Jagapati Art Pictures banner, directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. Starring Jagapati Babu, Soundarya in the lead roles and music also composed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. The film recorded as Super Hit at box office. Gopi is a simple man who has too much self-respect to work under anyone, so he opens his own watch repair shop in his hometown. Anjali is a girl from the same town who works at a store in the city. She keeps coming to her hometown every weekend. It so happens that Gopi and Anjali run into each other a few times and slowly, Gopi falls in love with her. He even wishes to marry her but unknown to him, Anjali and her family have the past that might hinder Gopi's love story. What will happen to Gopi and Anjali forms the crux of the story?
