Synopsis

Prathi Gnayiru 9.30 to 10.00 movie is about four college students Suresh (Ramesh), Remo (Karunaas), Murugan (Balaji) and Seetharaman (Ravi) who are carefree and have no responsibilities in their life. Mistaking Kalyani (Kalyani) to be a call girl, they forcibly gang rape her on a holiday. Coming to know of their mistake, they hurriedly return to Chennai.

Vijay (Rajnikanth), a merchant navy officer, comes home on leave to meet his sister Selvi (Saritha) and her husband Vishwanthan (Delhi Ganesh) but finds them missing. In his search for them, he bumps into Chitra (Radha) who falls in love with him. With Chitra's help, Vijay is able to find Selvi, but is shocked when he learns that her husband has vanished and she has stopped speaking. Unable to make Selvi speak but determined to resolve her troubles, Vijay with the help of his friend Vidyasagar (Y.G. Mahendran) discovers that Vishwanathan had testified in court against a dangerous criminal and is being held hostage by his associates. Vijay decides to disguise himself as a smuggler and gets into the underworld. Whether he is able to retrieve Vishwanathan and bring normalcy to Selvi's life forms the rest of the story.

Raja (Raja) is a CID inspector of police who is charged to solve the murder of the smuggler Durai. The only clue he would have is that the killer rode a white horse, wore a monster mask and a black coat. Raja falls in love with the soft-spoken college student Raani (Vineetha). He then meets the tomboy Jhansi fighting with some goons. She looks a lot like Raani and she reveals that she is her twin sister. The same killer murders the smuggler Maruthu (Alex). Finally, Raja finds the killer who turns out to be Raani who is also Jhansi.

Dandapani (Karunaas), coming from a poor background, nurtures his ambition to become an owner of businesses like Reliance, Vasant & C.o, Saravana Stores, etc. He meets Nandhini (Navneet) who falls in love with him because of his steadfast ambition. Later he learns that Dandapani paid 35 lakhs for the shop from Registrar. Finally Dandapani succeeds in getting a new shop and sets up his supermarket.

Shiva (Githan Ramesh) is the only son of a rich businessman (Avinash). He grows up surrounded by money and he is not cared for by his parents, due to his mother dying when he was a young boy and his father is business-minded and only cares about his money. Shiva and his friends are a playful bunch, they do not study and they mainly do lots of sport. Priya (Saloni), who also goes to the college (the college was created and run by Shiva's family) that Shiva goes to, is the daughter of a cow herder and a gangster Mayandi (Lal). Priya keeps her distance from Shiva, but as the film progresses it is inevitable that they become friends. Their friendship then develops into romance, but this love is opposed by both their parents. Both their parents try to separate them, they try to get them married of to different people. They eventually run away together, and a hit man is after Priya's life (hired by Shiva's father). In a confrontation with the hit-man Shiva gets wounded and defeats the hit-man, he then storms into his father's office and throws the hit-man at him. He then informs his father of his wedding in front of the district court. His father turns up with a large battalion of police officers, while Shiva turns up with a much large number of students. The film ends with their wedding successfully happening, and Mayandi gives his blessings.

Baasi rapes Ponnamma and kills her. Kuppusamy is sent to a mental hospital but he manages to escape. Kuppusamy is determined to take revenge.
