Synopsis
Lorenzo Millozzi is the mayor of a small town. One night, coming home, he surprises the notorious playboy Ghigo Buccilli who tries to seduce his wife: furious, he threatens the two with a gun, so as to cause a heart attack in Buccilli, who is forced to a total rest, and then to remain at the mayor's house...Actors

Lorenzo Millozzi (Renato Pozzetto) est le maire d'une petite ville de la province romaine. Un soir, en rentrant chez lui, il découvre le célèbre casanova local Ghigo Buccilli (Aldo Maccione) en train d'essayer de séduire sa femme, Lia Millozzi (Gloria Guida). Fou de rage, Millozzi le menace avec un pistolet et Buccilli est victime d'un malaise. Il survit, mais est obligé de se reposer et décide de rester chez le maire, qui, pour ne pas devenir l'objet des commérages de ses concitoyens, tente de cacher la disparition temporaire de Buccilli à la police.

Bernardo Mambelli alias "Gandhi" (Renato Pozzetto) is a PCI militant and pugilist working at a Milanese paint factory. One night, he sees a bunch of neo-Nazis beating a frail young man (Massimo Ranieri). He saves the man and brings him to his house to learn that he is Claudio, a homosexual. With nowhere to go, Claudio starts staying at Bernardo's house but a series of typical misunderstandings lead his comrades as well as his girlfriend Maria (Edwige Fenech) to believing that he has "turned gay". Bernardo is now seen as a potential lost cause and the ongoings soon reveal a "hot potato" situation for him.

Rosario Trapanese est déterminé à montrer qu’il n’est pas le typique sicilien à l’ancienne. Il rencontre et épouse Karen et réussit à revenir en Italie. Une fois ici, il découvre Karen a fait un film porno et sa détermination à être ouvert d’esprit est terminée. La jalousie sicilienne typique le rend fou. Quoi qu’il en soit, après un certain temps, Rosario comprend que ce que sa femme a fait avant de le rencontrer ne doit pas être un problème pour lui. Karen avoue à Rosario qu’elle a signé un contrat pour un second film et qu’elle ne pouvait refuser qu’en payant une amende. Le couple n’a pas assez d’argent donc ils doivent trouver une solution.
