Raakilipaatu (Malayalam: രാക്കിളിപ്പാട്ടു്) is a 2007 Malayalam film directed by Priyadarshan based on the 1999 Marathi film Bindhaast. It stars Jyothika, Sharbani Mukherjee, Tabu and Lakshmi. The music was composed by Vidyasagar. Originally planned to be made as a bilingual, in Tamil and in Malayalam, the film released first in 2000 in Tamil only as Snegithiye, while the Malayalam version as well as the dubbed Hindi version, Friendship, released only seven years later.
Synopsis
Josephine (Jyothika), her best friend Radhika (Sharbani Mukherjee) and their friends are pranksters in a ladies' college. Like other college girls, they sing songs, break rules and wreak havoc. They also have a grudge against Gita, another girl from the college.Actors

Mukundan K. Kartha (Mohanlal) is a simple man, with a decent job, whose old college classmate and friend Viswanath (Sreenivasan) comes to meet him. The film is set in British India in the year 1915. The story is about a young doctor, Govardhan Menon (Mohanlal), who is wrongly accused of bombing a train carrying 55 people including British officials. He is put in a cellular jail at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The story revolves around Manikyan (Mohanlal), Sreekrishnan(Nedumudi Venu) and Karthumbi (Shobana) and the love triangle between them. After completing his studies in London, Shakti Thakur (Anil Kapoor) returns to the small Indian town where his family resides. Accompanying him is his girlfriend, Anita (Pooja Batra), whom he is in love with and wants to marry, much to the disapproval of his family. After a few days, Shakti starts to feel that nothing much has changed in this part of India and longs to leave. He tells his father that he would like to sell his share in the family land and would open Restaurant business and settle with his girlfriend, to this his Father(Amrish Puri) urges him to stay in the village and uplift it with his education, by saying "A man gets Education not to become a selfish being but to uplift his uneducated brothers and society". Inderjit "Inder" Bansal (Akshaye Khanna) is a very rich young man. Although his parents (Anupam Kher and Moushumi Chatterjee) want him to settle down, he goes to another city to do his MBA and stays with friends.
