Synopsis
Siddhant Rai (Rishi Kapoor) is a wealthy architect, living a comfortable lifestyle with his three children Rohit, Rahul and Rani. Also living with them is their butler B.B.C (Tiku Talsania). Because they have no mother, Siddhant has arranged for many governess or teachers to take care of them: however, the children always drive any of these governesses/teachers away. Siddhant soon decides to send his children to boarding school but changes his mind when B.B.C reminds him that when Siddhant threw his younger brother out of the house, he never came back again. Siddhant however, arranges for another governess.Actors

Ranjit Rai (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) and Harbanslal (Dalip Tahil) are two wealthy business magnates who despise the poor. Thus, they decide their children, Ajay (Ajay Devgan) and Madhu (Juhi Chawla), will marry wealthy spouses. They try to break their children's friendship with Raja (Aamir Khan) and Kajal (Kajol), who are both poor. They fix up Ajay's marriage with Madhu and send Ajay to meet Madhu. As fate would have it, Ajay falls in love with Kajal instead and Raja and Madhu fall in love. This angers the two men, and they try to bribe Raja and Kajal into leaving Madhu and Ajay. When this doesn't work, they try to get Raja and Kajal killed. When the children realize what their fathers really did, they refuse to back down, their determination set in stone.

Deva (Ajay Devgan) est orphelin : son père, qui maltraitait sa mère, a été tué par son épouse. Celle-ci, jugée et condamnée, n’a pu supporter d’être séparée de son enfant et est décédée d’une crise cardiaque. L’officier de police Siddhant (Vinod Khanna) et son épouse Pushpa (Navni Parihar) ont alors adopté Deva et l’ont élevé aux côtés de leur propre fils Karan (Ronit Roy) qui déteste Deva. Contrairement à Siddhant, Deva désapprouve les lois et la justice qui lui ont arraché sa mère. Adultes, les deux frères prennent des chemins opposés : Karan fréquente des jeunes bandits tandis que Deva vit une douce romance avec Sharmili (Kajol). Un jour, Niranyan (Arif Khan), un des amis de Karan et fils du puissant gangster Shobhraj (Amrish Puri) est inculpé pour viol et meurtre. Shobhraj use de toute son influence auprès du politicien Om Gautam (Alok Nath) mais Siddhant refuse de libérer Nirayan. Un bras de fer entre Shobhraj et Siddhant commence. Bientôt, Siddhant surprend Karan, pistolet en main, aux côtés d’une jeune fille étendue morte. Sûr de la culpabilité de son fils, Siddhant le fait mettre en prison. Mais Deva, convaincu de l’innocence de son frère va tout faire pour le sauver.

The movie starts with Ajay (Ajay Devgan) telling his son that he should make his move on a girl he likes. The son tells him that if he can go woo another older lady, he will tell the girl he likes about his feelings. Ajay goes to the woman and starts telling her a story. Gradually, everyone around them starts listening and the scene goes to a flashback 25 years before. A younger Ajay is on a cruise with four of his friends. Nikhil (Sumeet Raghavan) and Reena (Divya Dutta), an unhappily married couple whilst Jeetu (Karan Khanna) and Natasha (Isha Sharvani) are a happily unmarried couple. On the cruise, Ajay meets Piya (Kajol) at the ship's bar and falls in love with her.

Raj Khanna (Rishi Kapoor) is a wealthy businessman who lives with his wife Archana (Rati Agnihotri), stepsister Devyani (Mita Vasisht), her spouse, and her son Teddy, in a mansion. Raj and Archana's lives are marred by marital discord, until they separate. Shortly before separating, Archana gives birth to identical twins: one of these is taken by Devyani and handed to Raj without Archana's knowledge. LOC Kargil opens with a dramatic shot of an Indian soldier's wireless set chirping frantic commands from one of the army bases, calling a patrol to report in, while the radio operator lies dead in the snow. After frantic attempts from battalions to locate their lost patrols, the Indian Army HQ in Jammu and Kashmir decides to deploy more troops. They suffer a rude shock when company and even battalion-sized attacks are beaten back by the largely unknown enemy sitting on top of the steep and treacherous peaks surrounding Kargil, Mushkoh Valley, Drass, Batalik and the Kaksar sectors. After these terrible and surprising reverses, the decision is taken to go ahead with maximum mobilisation and move its best fighting units into the area of operations.

Zooni Ali Beg (Kajol) is a blind Kashmiri girl who travels without her parents for the first time with a dance to Delhi to perform in a ceremony for Republic Day. On her journey, she meets Rehan Qadri (Aamir Khan), a Casanova tour guide who flirts with her. Although her friends warn Zooni about him, she cannot resist falling in love. On her last night in Delhi, Rehan and Zooni spend the night together and end up in bed. As Zooni is leaving the next day on a train, Rehan comes in and takes her away with him. She is taken to the hospital mortuary, and told to identify his body. As Zooni cannot see any body there, she is quickly made aware of the sweater that Rehan was wearing which she knitted for him covered in blood and soot.

Sonia Sehgal and Naina Sehgal (both played by Kajol) are twins. The two are completely different from each other, Sonia being the tomboyish twin and Naina being the shy one. Naina is distraught and vows to hunt down Gokul. Gokul soon goes after Naina and she realizes she needs help to overcome her fear of Gokul. With revenge in her mind she meets Suraj Singh Rathod (Sanjay Dutt), a blind military veteran and he helps her physically and mentally to defeat her fear of Gokul. While Suraj trains Naina they develop feelings for each other. After an argument, Suraj refuses to meet Naina and she decides to go after Gokul all by herself. One day Gokul kidnaps Naina's younger sister Dia from school in order to scare and warn Naina with what risk she is playing. That day Naina's mother decides to leave for Naintal immediately as her daughter's life is at risk. However Naina cannot control her hatred, and wanted to avenge her sister at any cost. Naina lays a trap for Gokul and tries to kill him but Gokul ties her up and tries to rape her like her sister. Suraj arrives at her house and fights Gokul but ends up being stabbed. Naina gets free and manages to shoot Gokul dead.
