Synopsis
Katrine vient de quitter son village de province pour s'inscrire à la fac à Copenhague. Elle trouve aussi un logement dans une résidence d'étudiants. On a dark and stormy night, Mickey Mouse takes shelter in a house that he is passing and soon discovers that it is haunted. After Mickey enters the house, the door locks itself, before Mickey is startled by a large spider and several bats, while hiding. Mickey then hears the sound of ghosts and flees into a hallway before the lights go out. As Mickey shouts 'Mammy!' three times in the dark, just like Al Jolson, he lights a match and looks around. Eventually a cloaked figure, which Mickey's shadow turns into scares Mickey, who screams, and flees in terror, with the shadow roaring at him. The cloaked figure corners Mickey into a room and compels him to play an organ while he and several other skeletons dance along to the music. When the music stops, Mickey tries to run away and leave the house, but finds several dead ends. He finally falls out of a window and into a full rain barrel and runs away.

Ariel Wolfe (Amanda Righetti) is the sister of Sara Wolfe (Ali Larter), a survivor of a publicity/birthday event hosted by Steven Price eight years ago in the Vannacutt Psychiatric Institute for the Criminally Insane. In the 1920s, the asylum was overseen by the sadistic psychiatrist Dr. Richard B. Vannacutt (Jeffrey Combs). Sara claimed that spirits of the house killed Price and the party guests, and that she barely escaped with her life. But no one believed her. She later commits suicide and a bereaved Ariel tries to find out why.

Rose Elliot (Miracle), a poet living alone in New York City, finds an ancient book called The Three Mothers. It tells of three evil sisters who rule the world with sorrow, tears, and darkness. The book, written by an architect named Varelli, reveals that the three dwell inside separate homes that had been built for them by the architect in Rome, Freiburg, and New York. Rose suspects that she is living in one of the buildings and writes to her brother Mark (McCloskey) in Rome, urging him to visit her. Using clues provided in the book as a guide, Rose searches the cellar of her building and discovers a hole in the floor which leads to a water-filled ballroom. She accidentally drops her keys and enters the water to find them. After she reclaims the keys, a putrid corpse suddenly rises from the depths, frightening her.

When a great white shark eats the potential catch of a sport fisherman, the man and his daughter violently retaliates by sadistically torturing and killing the shark, whose corpse then sinks to the bottom of an underwater cave and is subsequently resurrected as a ghost shark due to the cave's mysterious paranormal properties.
