It stars Mohan Babu and his elder son Vishnu Manchu with Jayasudha and Shanvi Srivastav in important roles. Sai Kartik composed the music for this film while Satish Mutyala handled the cinematography. The principal photography commenced on 26 December 2013 and ended on 21 February 2014 in 30 working days.
The film is a remake of RGV's own 2005 film Sarkar which itself was inspired partly from 1972 Hollywood film The Godfather. The film also used sync sound and a three camera setup to reduce the work of dubbing and camera angles while in post production. The film was released on 4 April 2014 (worldwide) and 3 April 2014 (united states) in over 50 screens.
Upon release, the film received positive reviews, with critics praising Ram Gopal Varma's narrative and brilliant performances from Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu and Jaya Sudha. The film minted ₹11.13 crore (US$1 7 million) on the first weekend of its release. The film minted a worldwide share of ₹33 crore (US$5 0 million) at the end of the second week of its run, and was declared a box office hit.
Synopsis
The film opens in a street in Hyderabad in a night with Krishna (Vishnu Manchu) saving Sirisha (Shanvi Srivastava) from some eve teasers and accompanying her to the hostel she stays. In the journey, they both come to know that they hail from Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. When Sirisha asks Krishna about the details of his father, the scene shifts to the native place of Krishna where his father, a don fondly called as Anna (Mohan Babu) and as Annagaru with respect punishing a teacher named Sankar Rao for harassing his pregnant wife for dowry on the complaint of the woman's father Rama Rao. Anna is a sexagenarian man who always thinks about the welfare of the people of Rayalaseema and they too revere him equal to god. Anna is a very powerful and influential don who also controls the political affairs of that region. His friend Ananda Rao (Paruchuri Gopala Krishna), a ruling party politician, is his close friend and he and the party extends their full support to Anna to stop the Nandavaram project whose happening would destroy 34 villages completely. On the other hand, a group of influential people working under a mysterious man try to make the project to earn crores. The group consists of KR, Vedantham Murthy aka Vedam (Tanikella Bharani), Chandi (Jeeva) and Seshagiri who is fond of cakes.Actors

The plot starts with a man returning home late night. He passes through the graveyard; on the way to home and he finds a ghost mistaken for a woman and follows her. He is killed by a group of ghosts. Scene moves to a happily living couple Murali and Sindhu (Jayasudha), who lives with their 3 years old son Chinni (Master Ravi Chandra Padmala) and Sindhu's sister Mahi (Maheswari). They plan to buy an estranged new farm house, which is near to graveyard. Sindhu's sister Mahi (Maheswari) always roams with her boyfriend Narsing (J. D. Chakravarthy). The problem comes when Sindhu's son starts making imaginary friends in their new home. It is later revealed that his "imaginary friends" are ghosts. Sequence of events happens showing the essence of ghosts in the house. Things become much worsen when Chinni will become prey to the ghosts. Sindhu sees the ghost of Chinni and feels that he is still alive. In the meantime, Narsing once while waiting for Mahi in the night near the graveyard road, mistakes Ghost to mahi. However, he survives from there. Later he comes to know from his friends that a builder built the farm house on the land of graveyard. Narsing understands that Mahi's family is in big trouble. He warns Mahi to move away from that house immediately. But Mahi being from an atheist family doesn't cares about his words. The ghosts continues to kill the family members one after the another. At last, Mahi and Narsing tries to escape from the ghosts but when they return home, they find that all the protagonists became ghosts . The final scene shows Mahi and Narsing are about to be surrounded by ghosts and left with no way to escape.

Anu Malhotra and Siddharth Mishra (Sidhu) are in love with each other and would like to get married. Anu is ready to inform her parents about her future life-partner, but everything is put on hold, as the family decides to go out on a group safari-like expedition. Siddharth decides to go incognito also. The group gets to view wildlife from fairly close distances. Tragedy strikes when the group (except Sidhu) is kidnapped by the Bandit Durga Narayan Choudhary and his gang. The bandits commit atrocities on the kidnapped people and finally behead one of the women in order to terrorize the government and extract ransom as well as release of one of their men who is in police custody. Once their demands are met, the bandits release remaining hostages, except Anu, whom the chief Durga Narayan Choudhary has started liking. This is unacceptable by his girlfriend Bali, the only female bandit of the gang. When Sidhu not find Anu among the released hostages, he sends the illegal arms supplier Dorai to request Durga Narayan Choudhary for Anu's release. He secretly follows Dorai and finally reaches Anu. In the ensuing commotion, he is able to run away with her, with the bandits in their pursuit. They keep searching their way out of the dense forest. Meanwhile the goons started to reduce in numbers as they get shot one by one during repeated police encounters. Finally, Durga is the only one left. Still mad about Anu, he searches for her. He is about to take Anu away once more but is intercepted by Commander Shivraj, whom he eventually murders, but finally Sidhu kills Durga and re-unites with Anu and the movie ends on a happy note.

Appalaraju (Sunil) is a film lover and he watches films regularly at Rambha Theatre in Amalapuram in a critical way and wonders why the directors are bringing out such films and his life ambition is to direct a film better than all the established directors.
