The film is almost directly from Priyadarshan directed Kyon Ki released in 2005, which was not an original storyline either. It was a variation on the famous Suchitra Sen-film Deep Jele Jai. This was later made into Hindi as Khamoshi, produced by Hemant Kumar and starring Waheeda Rehman. But like most of his peers, Bose does not credit his source. The seven-song track is mind-blowing, each song a beauty in terms of lyrics and its melodious character. Amitabha reveals a lot of potential with his freshness, sans stylisation and mannerisms. One star for the songs and another for Amitabha. But good music alone cannot save a badly made film.
Synopsis
The focus is on hero Raj (Amitabh Bhattacharya) and not so much on the two heroines Kasturi and Kanchana Moitra. Raj is a famous singer when the film opens. He falls in love with Maria, a Catholic nun-to-be and the two are engaged. Just before they tie the knot, Raj's friend Suman steps in stealthily with the intention of raping her. Kasturi jumps to her death and Raj loses his sanity.Actors

It is a romantic love story. Payel was the daughter of Pratap Choudhury who was an industrialist. Pratap was a boxing champion during his college days. He arranged his daughter's marriage with Viky who was a supervisor of his office. But Payel did not like Viky's behaviour. On the other hand, Rahul become an agriculturist, he was also an industrialist. But Rahul did not like to live with his father, so he lived with his friend Aziz and had his own agriculture farm. One day in the way to town Rahul and his friends saw some hooligans were trying to physically torture a girl. Rahul rescued the girl . From there they become enemies. After some days when Payel was going to a picnic, Rahul was returning from his farmhouse, Payel's car hit him and he fell beside the road and Payel went away. For that behaviour, Payel destroyed the farm house and killed many animals. After watching that Rahul forced Payel to rebuild the farm. So Payel was detained by Rahul in his farm. In the night she tried to escape but fell among some hooligans in the forest. But Rahul rescued her again. After that she fell in love . They loved each other. Pratap did not agree to their love. So he sent his daughter to his sister's house. Unfortunately there lived Rahul's uncle a Major. After knowing their love Major and Pratap's sister sent them to marry. On the other hand Viky was trying to marry Payel for Pratap's property, so he and his friends reached Rahul's father's house and at the end he was arrested by police. Rahul got wounded to save Pratap Choudhury. Finally Pratap agreed to marry his daughter with Rahul. Finally the romantic love story happily ended.

The film begins with the scenic beauty of the Himalayas, and in the backdrop Anuradha (Rituparna Sengupta) was reading out letters to her never-to-be-born child. The film is set in during the Emergency period in December 1975. Jadunath a labour union leader, of Jethia Jute Mill in Kolkata has been given death sentence, for the murders of owner Jethia’s brother, and another worker, even though he never committed them. Before dying, he pledges his eyes for donation. However, when the mill owner finds about this, he tries to manoeuvre the medical system to get both the eyes for his blind son.
